Once, the Crassula Paraporta, a sokolent plant in the old burnt kattel, was on the window side at the Even Family in Kibbutz Be’eri. Terrorist killed Rinat and Chen and their sons Alon and Ido. Tomer and Nir, the youngest brothers managed to escape and hid at neighbors shelter room. Now, the burnt kettle is exhibited on the top of burnt tiles in Herzelia Art Museum in Israel. Ofri Levi, returned to Be’eri a month after the massacre. She collected plants who had some green leaves that popped out of the ruins. The Pink Syngonium is from Vivian Sylver’s house. Vivian was a Super Optimistic woman who led the Women For Peace Organization. She was murdered on the day . Her house was completely destroyed which was made it difficult to find a plant. Ofri dedicated the exhibition catalog to her partner Shahar Zemach who was killed while helping people in the dental clinic. Visiting the exhibition is a poleraze experience. I appreciate Ofri Levy for he endevour to save the plants and show them with the stories of their beloved gardens.
