There is a moment before every beginning. A breath before the first step, a pause before the first word, a quiet opening where energy gathers, waiting to be shaped by us. This moment is sacred, a place where possibility takes its first form. And it is here that we plant the seed of intention—with presence, with love, with unwavering faith.
The Quiet Power of Yaqeen
Yaqeen—certainty, deep and unwavering. It is not simply belief but a constant knowing, the kind of knowing that does not shake in the wind or scatter in the storm. It is a seed planted in the soul, nurtured by faith, tended with love. It is the silent strength of the earth beneath our feet, the pull of the tide that never doubts the shore.
Today, as I was sitting with my thoughts, I found myself contemplating the essence of Yaqeen. For those unfamiliar with this word, let me share what it means to me. As I shared earlier, the language English sometimes doesn't fully capture the essence of certain experiences. Although, often translated as (a strong sense of faith), Yaqeen is not blind faith, nor is it mere optimism. It is the kind of certainty that resides deep in the core, a knowing so profound that even when the world shakes around us, one remains grounded. It is a state of trust that transcends logic, a connection to something far greater than ourselves. It is the conviction that what is meant for me will never miss me, and what is not meant for me will never find me. It is not just belief—it is an unwavering force that shapes the way I walk, speak, and act in this world.
To live with Yaqeen is to align energy with thought and then to bring that energy into action. It is the thread that stitches intention into movement, translating the unseen into the tangible. It is how dreams are built, how prayers become reality, how the ordinary becomes sacred.
Beginning with Sacred Intention
Every day, we are given a thousand chances to begin again. The first sip of water in the morning, the turning of a key in the lock, the opening of a book—each moment is an invitation to bring intention into our actions. But so often, we move through life on autopilot, disconnected from the quiet magic of beginnings.
There is an ancient practice, a simple yet profound way of setting intention: beginning with Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem—a whisper of remembrance that aligns energy with thought, thought with action. It is not just a phrase, but a bridge between the seen and unseen, a tuning fork that attunes the heart to a frequency of grace.
I often see people practicing daily affirmations, whispering words of power to themselves—statements of self-belief, mantras of manifestation, phrases repeated in hope of shifting their energy. And yet, many forget this ancient incantation we have been gifted long ago.
Every act begins with a moment of choice. Will we move with purpose, or will we drift? Will we infuse our actions with light, or will we let them pass unnoticed? The practice of beginning with Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem is a way of syncing the heart with action, reminding ourselves that we do not move alone. It is an acknowledgment that every effort is held, guided, supported from the source of all that emerges into reality.
When we plant seeds in the soil, we do not dig them up every day to check their growth. We trust the unseen, the slow unfolding of roots in the dark. Yaqeen is the same. It is faith that what is nurtured with sincerity will bloom in its time. To set an intention and to act upon it with love is to align with a rhythm greater than our own.
Storms May Sway You, But Roots Hold Deep
Life does not always unfold gently. There are storms that make us question, that shake the branches of our belief. We set intentions, and then we are tested. The path bends, sometimes breaks. The mind drifts, sometimes resists. But Yaqeen is not about the absence of struggle; it is about standing firm even when the winds rise.
Think of the palm tree, how it sways in the storm yet never uproots. It bends, but it does not break. The secret is in its deep roots, holding steady in unseen soil. Likewise, when intention is planted with love, watered with patience, and nourished with faith, it survives the harshest seasons.
The key is to keep returning. To keep remembering. To whisper intention into the quiet spaces of the day, not just in moments of ritual, but in the mundane, in the overlooked. To say, before every action, this is sacred too.
When challenges come, when the heart is heavy, return to intention. Realign. Begin again. Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem - coming to the center, connecting to the roots. A reminder that nothing is lost, that no effort is in vain, that every step taken with Yaqeen carries its own weight in the unseen realms. What is planted with faith will rise, even if we do not see it yet.
Bringing Yaqeen Into Everyday Life
To cultivate Yaqeen is to make a habit of certainty, to trust in action, to walk with purpose. I am sharing some ways that have worked with nurturing stronger intention with power of Yaqeen into my daily life:
When Thought and Action Align
True intention is more than a wish—it is a movement of energy, a commitment that flows from thought into action. When we act with yaqeen, we step into a current that carries us beyond fear, beyond hesitation. The universe meets us at the level of our certainty. What we nurture with patience, with persistence, grows.
So, plant your intentions like seeds in fertile soil. Water them with trust. Give them light through action. Move forward knowing that every step taken with intention carries the potential to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary.

6 天前Sahar Azeemi - PCC - CPT? , very beautifully articulated. Your outlook on the basmalah (Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Rahim).as well as on Yaqeen is brilliant. The Maqam (station) of Yaqeen is described beautifully in Ayn Ul Hayat. The progression is from Islam (surrender) to Eimaan (faith) to Taqwa (piety) to Yaqeen (certitude) to Haq Ul Yaqeen (truth of certitude). Thanks so much for such a stirring post !! ????
