Plans are useless, but planning is invaluable.

Let’s talk about the value of planning for a team, for a leader, for a business, or company, or even for a family.
Plans are great in the process.?
I love getting together with clients every quarter, developing their plans for the next quarter, working on the planning process.
First we reflect on the last quarter:
What went well?
What didn't go well?
What surprised us?
What delighted us?
What really got us stuck?
Then thinking about the next quarter.?
Where do we want to go??
What's on our horizon??
What are some of the things that we want to build, develop, grow, foster, and nurture?
Focusing on that process of planning, of reflection, of visualising the next step, of materialising the things that we want to see happen, is invaluable.
But plans themselves, I believe, are useless.?
How often do you ever check-in on a paper plan or a document?
We just don't.?
So the planning process is what's valuable, not the plan on paper itself.?

10 个月Of course I mean 2024 not 2021 - but maybe due to Covid you shelved a plan ??
