Plans or Designs?
Plans or Designs!
What do you have for your AD Containment Systems as the two are very different? One will look pretty and no doubt only cause you issues in the future, the other will resolve the issues before you break ground, save you time, money and issues down the line!
You wouldn't have the plumber to service the car so why have the plant designer undertake the containment design?
Trust someone who actually understands the requirements, complexities, materials and what will or will not work for you long term. Spending a little at the start could save you time during construction, £10'000's in materials and a potent shutdown.
With an EA Audit of AD Containment Systems taking place you may be sitting on a potential shut down, of if you have just finished a lagoon you may be doing it all again soon!
What permit are you on? Are your plans to change feed in the future? If so an agricultural permit and its requirements may save you money in the short term, but how will you meet the requirements of the revised permit which will allow you to process waste to get that additional 30% output you so crave?
A plan is not a design! An architectural designer is not a containment engineer! don't confuse these and walk into future issues blind.
With over 30 years SPECIFIC containment design we understand a design from a plan, don't be caught out!

8 年Darren your articles are excellent - you could replace 'containment' with 'silage clamp' and be spot on.
