Sept. 20th the City of Plano overturned an 8-0 Planning and Zoning vote. The City of Plano decided on this day the voices of their residents did not matter the record outcry from surrounding neighbors did not matter. The Comprehensive plan put forward by the city was determined null and void. Plano was primarily designed by Ross Perot and it has propelled the city into excellence.
The zoning was changed from Single Family Zoning to Multi-family Zoning (apartments) on the north corner of Jupiter & Los Rios Plano,TX . Several issues concerning the additional units on the corner, some include the corner being a flood zone, high traffic and entry access gets shut down with no access several times a year. For example Sept 22-25th access will be limited or denied due to the Plano Ballon Festival .
The San Antonio developer Versa Development LLC should be very concerned at how easily the city diverged and folded. In the meeting the developer seemed to be shocked as they should be, once the developer becomes a part of the community their voice will also be ignored by the city. Building in a flood zone could be very deadly for the residents of affordable housing. The negative publicity could possibly bankrupt Versa Development LLC. Especially since they have the support of Dallas ICP Inclusion Community to put affordable housing in a flood zone on a nature preserve. A month prior, most of the City of Dallas flooded and a some died and lost property such as cars. Even after the flood Dallas ICP (Inclusion Community) said this location would be great for affordable housing residents. The Inclusion Community for some reason mentioned minorities when they mentioned affordable housing as if only minorities are the poor. Many affluent minorities live in the community. The City of Plano was voted #2 Hardest working cities in America. The Nature Preserve they are referring to is Oak Point Nature Trail and it is larger than Central Park.
Plano Mayor John Muns appeared to have his mind made up even before the meeting, some of the city council seemed disheartened but still voted in favor to overturn. The city seemed fearful of the Federal Government stealing it's American right to Govern. But are we not Texans? Do we not fight for the rights to govern our own city or will we fold to the current administration dictatorship? This isn't excellence. Groups such as Dallas ICP use race to oppress the minorities they claim they are trying to help.
Under the Obama administration Julian Castro attacked the Dallas Metroplex in 2012 with HUD. (The current development is not Section 8 but it's still subsidized renting) "The HUD agency sweetened Section 8 vouchers payments and pointed inner-city recipients to the far-flung counties surrounding Dallas. As government-subsidized rentals spread in all areas of the Metroplex so did crime. " (The US department of Housing and Urban Development used Dallas as a test-- and the city is now experiencing much more violence.) [New York Post by Paul Sperry May 9, 2016 |7:30am] Is it possible that John Muns is afraid of the new Biden administration forcing affordable housing down Plano's throat stripping the city of Plano's ability to give great education, safety and employment to surrounding residents? Is the Biden dictatorship that strong? Is Texas, not Texas anymore? Has Texas been weakened by the implants? Sob stories from those who disguise themselves as minority heroes. Did they California our Texas, did they New York our Texas? Some would have thought the implants would have made Texas even stronger. We were warned, now people flee what they previously voted for and haven't changed their voting habits, and the City of Plano appears to welcome them. Now the Department of Justice is being weaponized around other cities as well such as Tarrant County. Is it possible the Dallas ICP is using the DOJ to make other counties suffer to make their county not look as bad. Where is the affordable housing in Dallas county?
This development is on the corner of highly trafficked and eventful Nature Preserve. The city council voted to allow affordable housing in a flood zone. Dallas ICP Inclusion Community fought hard to put affordable housing in a flood zone even after seeing the floods of Dallas. There were several opportunities in other areas of Plano without being on a flood-zone or a nature preserve closer to transportation and walkable grocery stores but they stated they did not care about a Nature Preserve or the fact that it floods. They have cars they stated. But do they have boats, life jackets, scuba gear, a rainy day fund after all personal belongings get flooded?

The problem with affordable housing is opportunity cost. It robs the renter of the opportunity of the American Dream and their ability to purchase depending on how long they rent the opportunity cost grows. Homeownership locks you into mortgage, and gives the homeowner flexibility and affordability. Some members of the Dallas ICP were previous residents of Plano years ago and some stayed in affordable housing, but no longer live in the city and they voiced how they did not care about the current residents of the community. They went on to get degrees as high as their Master's degree but failed to realized if they had a greater opportunity to make a purchase years back they would still be in Plano with a fixed mortgage making it even more affordable to live in Plano with a fixed mortgage. The city has multiple affordable housing complexes already in development. This development makes no sense in anyway to put residents in a flood zone or on a Nature Preserve with wildlife that took 20 years to develop. Many nearby residents stated this concern in the planning and zoning meeting and voiced this is the "city of excellence" and you do not put affordable housing in area that doesn't lead to success for the city and the housing residents.
As time passes by year after year in an affluent areas the demand for housing increases in those areas which increases the cost of home ownership, further pushing the affordability away from the renter. At one point in time some 4 bedroom homes in Plano, TX were selling for the 200k's instead of renting you could have locked this mortgage and your property would be worth around 400k+ as an example. Affordable housing rental rates mimics market rent, so is it really affordable to earn a dollar more than max salary of affordable housing? The answer is no.
The Dallas ICP is stripping the rights of Americans in the false sense of minority opportunity. The Dallas ICP is using the Department of Justice to hurt the opportunity of minorities and the citizens of Plano. Notice they have no housing in Dallas County. From their descriptions on their website they have a Black woman named Patricia Mcgee and give a statement of how her 10 year old son peered out the window to see a sex worker outside of their apartment in the city of Dallas. Now Dallas, TX and the county of Dallas is primarily democrat. The city of Dallas is poorly run and pretty much every undesirable city in the area is Democrat run. Now Dallas ICP wants to flood democrats into Republican run cities and obstruct the zoning laws that Republicans have for their citizens and call it racist redlining. When in fact it is the Democrats lack of city planning that created the problem for the Dallas resident's son to see the sex worker. Dallas ICP is going to strip a city who zones correctly of it's zoning rights and export their problems faster than Martha's Vineyard. Dallas ICP knows very well that their emotional racial tactics are working to cripple the area just as the Obama administration did in 2012 this is the same strategy just with slightly different tactics. These are democrat tactics used to kill the opportunity for homeownership. Shipping people here and there breaking zoning putting them in flood zones on a nature preserve is not a solution.
Plano, TX is a great place to live work and play and the city has plenty of affordable housing that is currently available and some that are in development but not in flood-zones. Some Dallas ICP employees previously lived in affordable housing years ago in Plano. The city has gone above and beyond in its comprehensive plan to make sure it's people do not see sex workers outside of their apartments. To make sure the residents of affordable housing have opportunity just in case their car breaks down they are in walking distance of public transportation and stores. Plano wants all citizens to thrive. But it seems Mayor John Muns is terrified of being called a racist by the racist Dallas ICP. Democrats create the problem for Americans (which include minorities) and Dallas ICP spreads it like the sex worker in front of a Dallas apartment.
