Are Meals and Beverages Included? Yes! Every breakfast, lunch and dinner on board is included, along with unlimited fine wines, beer and soft drinks at lunch and dinner. You’ll also enjoy gourmet tapas and afternoon tea upon request and Sip & Sail cocktail hours each evening. On select itineraries, such as Secrets of Egypt & the Nile, Flavors of Portugal & Spain and Enticing Douro, a few meals ashore are included as well.

How Do I Make Reservations for The Chef's Table? Every guest can enjoy a complimentary, multi-course dining experience at The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant during their journey. Reservations are made at the Reception Desk once you embark.

Will AmaWaterways Accommodate My Dietary Restrictions? We’re happy to accommodate dietary needs such as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan or low-sodium meals. Just let us know in advance, and if you have severe allergies, we recommend also meeting with our Culinary Team upon embarkation.

Will I Experience Motion Sickness? No, you won’t! Our river cruises embark on calm waters where you don’t experience any waves or rocking motions, so you can relax and enjoy the journey.

What if I Want to Explore a Port on My Own? While we offer a variety of included excursions to suit every interest, you’re welcome to explore on your own as well. Maps of each port are available at the Reception Desk or within our myAmaCruise app where available, and your Cruise Manager can suggest restaurants, shops, museums and more.?

What Should I Bring to Wear for My River Cruise? Do I Need Formal Attire? For your journey, we recommend packing casually elegant attire. You’ll also want something dressier for the Captain’s Dinner or an evening concert. Comfortable walking shoes are a must for shore excursions and one pair of dressier shoes is advised. Since you may travel through different climates, layering is recommended.
