Some might be worried about how well agile folks plan when they read in the agile manifesto that we value the item on the left more than the one on the right:
"Responding to Change" over "Following a Plan"
However, once you come to understand the spirit in which a lean-agilist "respond to change", and the practices he/she use to accomplish this, you might never want to apply this mindset in your org and all efforts.
Come and learn about the many varieties, timings and collaborative approaches used in both bottom-up and top-down planning, visioning, objectives, goals and road-mapping that makes lean-agile SAFe not only strong in planning, but also a very intentional and practical approach to assuring quality*. Add to that the emphasis on building trust among all parties, even in places that sorely lack it, with true transparency*, plus the pay-off of delivering value early and often with an undeniable focus on program execution*, and you have a winning combination.
