Trees formed a very minor part of this application, but because the application was originally made with no tree information it was in danger of being refused. I was called in and quickly identified that the proposed development would not directly impact on the protected tree at the front of the site, but construction access and storage of materials could have a significant impact. I drew up a simple, practical but comprehensive Tree Protection Plan that completely satisfied the tree officer. The only tree related conditions imposed required compliance with the submitted tree report, so the client had no additional tree related costs or delays to face after permission was granted.
