Planning the Design: Building a New Home
Recently I posted about “Building the Perfect Home". We focused on the home site and why some home sites are more expensive to build on than others. Now we will talk about what happens once you have chosen the perfect site for you future “Perfect Home.”
We met with our client and the builder and talked about various options for building on the site.
We focused on the kind of views they wanted and how to customize the home to fit the home site and maximize the potential of the amazing location. This included windows from various areas to capture the views and provide perfect lighting. Few REALTORS have the experience or imagination to help in this area.
Having a REALTOR that has worked with these kinds of projects is important because they are going to provide ideas and suggestions that a builder may not bring to your attention.
In this case a super-sized upstairs balcony was recommended to wrap around the back of the home and provide an amazing feast of views of water, trees, and topography. In addition, I suggested adding a very large window to the master bedroom to capture another view that was not going to be maximized.
Listen to anyone who will talk and take the ideas of all when coming up with your new home plan for your new “Perfect Home!”
