Our campaign showcased members' sustainability successes, bringing optimism, smiles, and renewed passion as we witnessed first-hand how Planet Mark certification helps hundreds of businesses reduce carbon and bolster climate action, which, in turn, has led to business growth, increased brand positioning and growing customer trust.

Our members' continuous commitment to the ongoing battle against climate change serves as a beacon, affirming the crucial role that businesses can play in this global effort. Together, we're proving that businesses can be a powerful ally in the fight against climate change.

Techspace: embedding a sustainability strategy fit for their people, purpose, and the planet.

The #MoreThanAMark journey began with Techspace , a dynamic flexible workspace provider that places people at the heart of its operations.

Recognising a growing interest and passion for environmental action among their employees, customers, and the industry, Techspace collaborated with Planet Mark to build a comprehensive sustainability strategy tailored to stakeholder expectations.

Within a year of certification, Techspace demonstrated remarkable progress in integrating a robust sustainability framework with Planet Mark's Business Certification , Net Zero Strategy and Action Plan and Net Zero Governance .

Guided by our experts, Techspace developed and unveiled its Sustainability Strategy , marking a commitment to transparency with stakeholders. They pledged to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by a minimum of 90% by 2028 and set a target to assess Scope 3 emissions by 2024. Furthermore, they revised their travel policy to reduce avoidable emissions, promoting a Zoom-first meeting approach. Additionally, they began their journey to cleaner energy, with one of their sites now operating solely on renewable energy. Building Trust Through Certification: Sleepeezee Path to Responsible Manufacturing

Similar to Techspace, Sleepeezee , a renowned bedmaker, identified a shared desire for positive change among its team, customers, and wholesalers and worked to become Planet Mark certified in 2019 to assert its commitment to being a responsible manufacturer.

Over the past four years, Sleepeezee has achieved significant milestones, such as a transition to 100% renewable energy, installation of on-site solar panels, adoption of LED lighting, and investments in EVs, as well as halving its carbon footprint.

Beyond their business operations, Sleepeezee's took a holistic approach to addressing climate change by implementing social value initiatives. These social value initiatives include donating over £200,000 to local and national charities to charities, planting over 600 trees around the UK, and contributing to local schools to inspire environmental consciousness in future generations.

Hillier Nurseries: Planting the seed for a sustainable future

With nearly five years of certification experience, our team's visit to Hillier Nurseries Ltd was truly memorable. Guided by CEO George Hillier, we explored a range of initiatives that have left a lasting impact on the company.? One that stood out was their water conservation efforts, highlighted by their new reservoir for rainwater capture. This led to an impressive 49% reduction in overall water usage, with Hillier's nurseries achieving an impressive 85% water self-sufficiency.

This commitment to sustainability is deeply rooted in Hillier's ethos, positioning them as sustainability leaders in the horticultural sector and resulting in deep emission cuts - in 2022, they recorded a substantial 11.6% decrease in carbon emissions.

Certified for success: Total Offices path to building stronger customer relations with Planet Mark

Faced with increasing client demands for sustainability, Total Office , a business supplies company, took decisive action, aligning with environmental principles and leveraging Planet Mark's expertise to certify its carbon reduction.

Through our Business Certification and Net Zero Strategy and Action Plan, Total Office ?gained the tools to collect, analyse and monitor carbon data. This enabled them to pinpoint emissions in areas like packaging, fleet, and product range, providing a strategic roadmap to drive down overall carbon emissions.
