“Preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.” - Carl Sagan, who was also known as "the astronomer of the people"

Good Saturday morning all and welcome to this edition (No. 31) of "With That Said" (WTS), a LinkedIn newsletter powered by your friends here at Supply Chain Now .

Today is Earth Day 2023 - and we want to share a variety of perspectives, resources, ideas & more to celebrate. Let's start with this message from SCN founder & CEO, Scott Luton :

"We all share such a great responsibility to protect this beautiful planet we call home...the "pale blue dot" as coined by the brilliant Carl Sagan. Massive movements to battle climate change & other critical issues of our time are underway. But I also like to think of small, everyday actions that we can all take. I often think of how my grandparents approached things: never wasting hardly anything. Think of how you use resources today. Think of how you can create less waste & embrace more re-usage. Think of how you use your wallet to support companies that embrace more sustainable practices. And perhaps most importantly: THINK. Stop & think about how you can make a difference. Then, take action. Deeds, not words."

Wonder where the "pale blue dot" reference came from? It stems from a picture taken by Voyager 1 on February 14th, 1990, as it was some 6 billion kilometers away from Earth.
