Plan Smarter, Not Harder with AI
After you have gone through the reflection cycle, and as you are going through the planning cycle, save time planning by using artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
Last month’s #eMINTS #TipCards series was all about using the instructional planning process to help you plan effectively. Now, we are sharing tips to save you time as you begin planning for your upcoming school year. This month, we delve into five different AI tech tools that can help you do just that: Plan smarter, not harder. The ever-growing number of AI tools create obstacles to learning, but they also create unique learning opportunities for ourselves and our students. And, as Ditch That Textbook author Matt Miller writes, “Students will have to learn how to navigate life with AI” (Miller, 2022).
ChatGPT
First up: ChatGPT! Since its release in November of 2022, @OpenAI’s ChatGPT has been the fastest-growing Internet application ever (Milmo, 2023). While some may reject its educational uses and avoid integrating it into the learning environment, ChatGPT has the capability to save valuable time. Here’s how:

Canva Magic

Conker
Next up in our AI tools to help save you time when planning for the upcoming school year: Conker. Without even logging in, choose a topic, and generate multiple-choice quizzes in seconds. Or you can customize the type of quiz (multiple choice, read-and-respond, fill-in-the-blank, mixed), grade level (K-Higher Ed), output language, and number of questions (5-10) you want to assign learners. Put in your desired topic or customizations, and watch Conker work its magic! You can even assign the quiz directly to your LMS or export it to 谷歌 Forms when you are signed in.
Example: Enter a topic → “The Day the Crayons Quit”, Hit “Generate” OR “Customize”, and create a quiz in minutes!
