Plan in Person -> Execute Anywhere: The 45-Day Cycle of Remote Work and Personal Growth
Home Sweet Home - Adventure Savory Adventure
Life is a delicate balance between adventure and being home. This equilibrium is essential for personal and professional growth. Embrace both adventure and home for a truly fulfilling journey.
?? Adventure: Explore new horizons, push your limits, and discover the unknown. It's through these experiences that we learn, innovate, and evolve.
?? Home: Amidst life's chaos, find solace in the familiarity of home. It's our safe haven to recharge, cultivate relationships, and establish a foundation.
Regardless, to maintain stability in life's rollercoaster of emotions, highs, and lows, adopt the mindset of "keep your highs low and your lows high." Stay grounded during triumphs and seek growth during challenges.

Last week brought us out to New Orleans for another tournament. I have to admit; the beignets lived up to the hype. So traveling this week meant embracing the work-from-anywhere (WFA) lifestyle. WFA differs from working from home (WFH) lifestyle; more on that later.
Previously, working in cafes, malls, and hotels or using hotspots in a park could be disorienting. Fortunately, my projects last week were in "execution mode" rather than "planning mode," so I've found those weeks are easier to be WFA.

Plan in Person -> Execute Anywhere
In my experience, in-person collaboration is essential for alignment and strategy. However, once the plan is in place, it's time to venture out and execute from anywhere. This approach follows a cyclical process, approximately 45 days long.
Most processes tend to break after 45 days, emphasizing the need for regular reassessment of processes, purposes, and mindsets. Without periodic self-evaluation, something is bound to falter. While planning doesn't always need to be in person, a well-crafted 45-day plan allows for more focused execution and enables folks to WFA.
Think of it this way, a quarter is 90 days, so within that period, you should reinvent your process twice. This reinvention involves refining, examining data, and challenging assumptions.
