THE PLAN

I gave you a teaser last week on adding a SAFETY hexagon in the mystic land of our Strategic Priorities. We worked with it last night and the wording we finally agreed upon to carry this priority is – ZERO COLLISIONS. The vision to never ever collide. Together, these now six priorities will guide our way forward. What TO DO. What TO ACHIEVE. And added for 2021 – Measurable KPI’s to track our progress. Or simply put – THE PLAN.

THE CULTURE

In November last year, many of us responded to an engagement survey in Glint. It gave us valuable insight in the perception of our capabilities and challenges. It tells us that more than average, people feel free to speak their mind without negative consequences and that we feel treated with respect and dignity. But it also tells us that people more than average disagree that we have a great culture. Digging a few layers into this, I start to see some patterns. One very simplistic, however descriptive comment made in Glint says, “It’s a conflict between the new and the old” and another says “Better on paper than in reality”. I will dig further, categorize and quantify. But my sense so far is that we need to practice what we preach. As leaders, we need to align on the way forward and show that clearly. And for all of us, we need to COLLABORATE!
