Plan to be flexible
"A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences." - Proverbs 22:3 NLT
Being flexible in life is important because problems are inevitable. While planning is always wise, things don’t always go as smoothly as we expect. Without preparing for unforeseen circumstances, we set ourselves up for disappointment.
Another way to put it is, "make a plan and then plan to be flexible." Plan well enough so that your loved ones feel safe, hopeful for a good outcome, and cared for along the way. But this won’t eliminate challenges, so you must remain flexible. If spontaneous opportunities arise, you can adjust your plan to increase the enjoyment and significance of your time and effort.
Proverbs 22:3 teaches us that anticipating problems is a sign of wisdom. To deal with challenges effectively, it's essential to build flexible plans. This way, you'll have the space and clarity to anticipate challenges without missing out on opportunities.
