Plan to do Good!

This past week on Russ Reals Live, I had an awesome group of friends, including Russ Johns, Tisha Peletier, Nanci Baki, Dave Crysler, Kati McDermith, and Fred Kienle. We discussed the Importance of Planning in 2023

This is something that is not only important and good at the beginning of the year… It is good at the beginning of each day.

So… Grab your coffee and let’s talk Planning!

At the root of planning is intention. What is your purpose? Why are you planning to do what you are planning to do?

I love what Proverbs 22 says, “If you plan to do good, you will receive unfailing love and faithfulness.”

Do you want others to be good, loving, and faithful to you? If so, you know what you have to do.

I try to live my life by the Golden Rule…

“Do for other people whatever you would like to have them do for you.” ?Matthew 7:12

Because the opposite is also true.

The first part of verse 22 in Proverbs says, “If you plan to do evil, you will be lost,”

That doesn’t sound like a good plan. Who wants to be around someone who is always planning to do bad things?

f you want to know Why and Where you are going, and you want to blessed with a good community of people, you should probably skip the evil part!

My word for 2023 is “Opportunity.”

I believe there is great opportunity ahead in 2023. That's what I am focused on. Not the things that may or may not have happened in 2022, but what is ahead.

I am Planning to Move Forward!

I am Planning to do Good!

But, we must also put action to our planning.

“Good Planning without Good Working is nothing.” Dwight D. Eisenhower

We have to make it happen.

One step at a time.

“Plan your work and work your Plan!” says Napoleon Hill

It is an ongoing process.

Keep looking for opportunities.

They are just around the corner when you keep taking action and moving forward.

The story goes that Thomas Edison, when he was working on the light bulb, failed over 1000 times before his good fortune arrived. He kept planning and working. One step after the other.

If you want a Good Life and Good Fortune… Plan to do Good and keep working at it!

Your success could be right around the corner.

What if Edison had given up? Things might be a whole lot darker today!

So here you go. 2023 is ahead. A year of great opportunity, but you have to do your part.

Start by Planning to do Good!
