Plan ‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’ is important for a Fabulous Year 2025

Now, ‘A’ stands for ‘Artificial Intelligence’, ‘B’ stands for ‘Gen Beta’ and ‘C’ stands for ‘Creators’. Well, if we understand these three alphabets, it will be exciting. Given that we are celebrating 2025, and the almost the end of the first quarter of the 21st century, the world could not have gotten more exciting.        

The world has changed in 2024 and will affect us for rest of the decade and perhaps the rest of our lives, and in fact, the decade, 2020-2030 will be amongst the most defining decades in human history. I guess those reading LinkedIn posts are ‘professionals’ as I keep getting dozens of emails where the readers pass on such posts to their relatives or children. Thank you for your messages, it means a lot. I am provocative at times, but, i base my views on hard facts. So, when we are entering 2025, let us reflect and imagine.

On 4th October, when I opened the Global Digital Health Summit, my key message was, ‘This is not the age of competition, this is the age of Creators’.

Look at what the biggest companies are doing. Intel, a company that powered all computers and mobiles, posted a 16.6-billion-dollar loss in 3rd quarter of 2024, Google and Microsoft are fighting for their survival, forget about market leadership. All BigTechs have gone ahead to partner with OpenAI .This was not the scene at the start of this decade. If they do not invest in ‘Creating’ the future, even a partnership with Sam Altman will not be able to save them. If these BigTech are under a challenge of their lifetime, what about ordinary folks like us?

But, if you connect the three dots (A,B & C), you know that the world will offer you phenomenal opportunities for growth.

Preparing for 2025

Let us not forget the Astronomical Events this year: For enthusiasts and the public, 2025 promises remarkable celestial phenomena, including two "Blood Moon" total lunar eclipses and rare planetary alignments. You may miss these astronomical events, but you cannot miss the technological developments that will hit us in 2025.

Also, we must create our own future. So embrace the fact that, if you are creating something ‘new’ which is of much better value than what exists, you are going to be in demand. Dump your hang-ups of having worked for decades in a senior position or that you have the best degrees hanging in your office or home. If you are still banking on them, it is like navigating a different town with the map of some other town, it would not work! Map should be of the town you are driving in!

So, the present is different from the past, and the future will be radically different, as we have now entered the age of ‘Gen Beta’. Time to unlearn, up-skill and create. Those who create will lead and the rest will have to leave. The choices for now, appear binary - Lead or Leave!

Lord Tennyson’s poem hold an important message , of course, ‘pray’ and ‘spray’ won’t work. So, create the new order. Be Sam Altman and not Pat Gelsinger!

In conclusion, 2024 has been a year of transition, and 2025 is the year of transformation. For setting the stage for 2025, staying informed is not enough. Embracing innovation, so that you can navigate the complexities of the coming year and contribute to a more prosperous global community.
