How many heavens are there in the Bible?

According to the Bible, there are three heavens. This is evident in the writings of the Apostle Paul in his second letter to the Corinthians. In this letter, Paul mentions a third heaven.

He speaks of a man who was taken to the third heaven, but whether this was an ?out of out of the body“ experience or with his physical body is unknown, as only God knows.

The three heavens in the biblical context can be described as follows;

1. the First Heaven.

This refers to the atmospheric heaven, the sky that we can see from earth, where the clouds and weather phenomena are found. Where the birds and the airplanes fly.

2. The Second Heaven.

This corresponds to outer space, the vast expanse where the planets, stars, and celestial bodies exist. It is the realm beyond the Earth's atmosphere.

3. The Third Heaven.

This is the highest heaven where the throne of God is located. It is the ultimate eternal and most HIGHEST dwelling place of ALL the angelic realm and their hierarchy like the Cherubim and Seraphim, Archangels and the whole court of God. It is often referred to as the dwelling place of God in a realm of divine perfection.

In the Bible, there are many and various references to God's throne being in the Third Heaven, and it is described as a place of divine watchfulness and attention to humanity. It is also where you find the 24 Elders and Counselors of God.

The Biblical Descriptions of the THIRD HEAVEN

• The Vision of Isaiah of the Glory of God.

?In the year that King Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple (?the Holy of Holies“ in His Heavenly Throne). Above it stood the seraphims; each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one did cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory. And the (golden) posts of the door (of the glorious heavenly Temple) moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.” Isaiah 6;1-4.

• The Vision of John of the Throne of God in the Third Heaven

?After this I looked, and behold, a door was opened in (the 3rd) heaven; and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And He that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone; and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats; and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal; and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle (Please compare with Ezekiel 1;10). And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within; and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come (Please see and compare with Psalm 50; 3-6). And when those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to Him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down (to the ground) before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power for thou hast created ALL things, and for thy pleasure they are and were also created.” Rev. 4;1-11.

John also sees the people of God at His Throne!

?After this I beheld, and lo, a GREAT multitude, which no man could number, of ALL nations, and kindreds and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb (JESUS), clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God (and Savior) which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the (holy) angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell (on their knees) before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, Saying, Amen; Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of GREAT tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple (their own bodies, please see 1 Cor. 3;16 ); and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters; and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes (Please compare with Isaiah 25;8 and Rev. 21;4)” Revelation 7;9-17.

The SPIRITUAL Battle and WAR in HEAVEN!

In Matthew the 24th Chapter Jesus had already prophesied just exactly what had taken place in the past few months! "Immediately after the tribulation of those days (these are the days we are living in now) shall the sun be darkened (this happened during the Solar Eclipse of April 8th 2024 in the United States), and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars (the fallen angels that will come up again to the THIRD heaven to try again to overthrow God's Throne in this 3rd Heaven during the solar Eclipse) yet what we saw during the Eclipse was an AMAZING, INCREDIBLE sight! (They were seen falling down from heaven AGAIN behind the clouds) as it was written in the word of God, ?and ALL the powers of the heavens (the angelic forces of the 2nd and 3rd heaven) shall be shaken (because there was WAR in the THIRD Heaven please see Revelation 12:7-9) so immediately after this takes place the return of Jesus Christ is imminent and most likely will take place very soon now in the next three months of August, September and October notice: ?And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven (that is the 3rd heaven), Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them (just like a Prosecutor does in Court) before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea (those demonic, evil sea creatures that inhabit the depths of the ocean in the underwater kingdom of Satan)! For the devil is come down unto you, having GREAT wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a (very) short time. Rev. 12:10-12. And this is why as we have seen, Satan has recently and eagerly tried to destroy this world with more mayhem, more chaos, problems, natural disasters, destruction, conflicts and wars like a soon coming NUCLEAR WORLD WAR! But God will surely intervene and will send His Son Jesus Christ to STOP ALL this! Notice: ?And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall ALL the tribes (or nations) of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with POWER and GREAT GLORY! And He shall send His angels with a GREAT sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together ALL His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Matt 24:29-31. So my friends again Christ is coming very soon and as a song of mine says: "At the END we (the GOOD guys) WIN!”
