Plagiarism is an act of unfair means that is expressly forbidden in education systems. In a civilized society, it is frowned upon because it gives an unearned edge to the perpetrators.

I have seen no papers on the subject in the Indian environment. Is it because of any implied embarrassment attached to plagiarism? Or is it the study that we are ashamed of?
