A place where something flourishes

If you search the definition of home, you will find "the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household" or "a place where an object is kept". But, you will also find "a place where something flourishes". This definition is my favourite and I’ll tell you why.

After thirty years in the business, I can tell you that there is no perfect house. There is only a house that is perfect for you, and you can be sure I am going to search until we find it. 

When I take you through a house and I see you counting the stair treads, I know that you are worried about your children falling. When you ask me about the size of the yard and how close you are to a park, I get it. You are considering your family pet in this move – I have one of those furry family members too. And, when you run all the numbers and stick to your budget, it makes me happy because I know you are planning for the life that you are going to have inside this home with your family and friends. That’s the flourishing part.
