A Place to Inspire: Interior Design Lovers Enjoy USM Haller in the Iron House

Welcome to the SoLebIch Summer Apartment, which was nestled in Munich's historic Nymphenburg Palace Park. For four days in July 2019, this remarkable space connected contemporary design with the charm of the 1868 Iron House, creating an environment to showcase a range of exceptional furnishings, including our timeless USM Haller.

The Community?

SoLebIch.de GmbH is the largest German-speaking online magazine and community dedicated to interior design enthusiasts. It was founded in 2007 by Nicole Maalouf and Daniel Eichhorn as a medium for users to share their love for interior design, post photos of their homes, and exchange tips and inspiration. In the past 17 years, it has evolved into a passionate community of like-minded individuals and a space to discover and discuss high-quality furniture and creative design concepts.??

The Concept?

Over four days in July 2019, SoLebIch transformed a historic greenhouse in Munich's Nymphenburg Palace Park into a contemporary living space and opened it to visitors as a physical manifestation of the community. The temporary installation was a place to discover and get inspired by furniture pieces in a real-life setting. It featured workshops, lectures, and a showcase of extraordinary furniture pieces, notably USM Haller, centred around four elements: earth, fire, air, and water. Each element translated nature into interior design concepts through?colours, materials, and shapes.?

Fire?

The dining area was inspired by the ambiance of an Italian marketplace. It featured a playful?colour?combo intended to radiate joy. It was the apartment's focal point for eating and dining, showcasing pieces from Thonet, Jan Kath, USM, and more.?

Water?

The blue room offered a tranquil escape designed for mindfulness and relaxation. It included a selection of thoughtful objects intended to emulate water's serenity, with furniture pieces from Jan Kath, Louis Poulsen, USM, Vitra, and others.?

Earth?

With earthy natural tones, this living area was a space for everyday?socialising?and deep conversations. A balanced blend of wood, silk, and ceramics created a?cosy?environment, featuring brands including Vorwerk, Walter Knoll, Vitra, and Bang & Olufsen.?

Air?

With organic shapes, glass, and metal, the lounge invited guests to dream. A vintage sofa and David Bowie's music contributed to the room's effusive and ethereal vibe. It included furniture from Revive Interior, Kettnaker, Jan Kath, and others.?

USM Haller's Role?

USM Haller featured prominently throughout the SoLebIch Summer Apartment. In the?Fire: The Marketplace?area, USM Haller units offered a functional storage solution that complemented the lively and inviting dining space. In the?Water: The Blue Room, USM Haller accentuated the room's tranquil and reflective atmosphere. Across all rooms, USM Haller integrated various design elements, demonstrating its adaptability as an elegant and timeless piece of furniture and modular storage solution across a diverse range of settings.?
