The Physical (The Heart): modulating brain activity and facilitating cognitive processes


"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:5


The Son of God, Divine Figure: saved from sin and death through faith by our own perception, attention, and memory.?


The RAS, or the Reticular Activating System, is a part of the brain that plays a key role in our ability to focus and pay attention. It is responsible for filtering out irrelevant information and bringing our attention to things that are important to us. The concept of RAF, or "reliance on God's favor and power," is a fundamental theme in the Old Testament of the Bible. Throughout its pages, we see examples of individuals who put their faith in God and experienced His favor and power in their lives. In this article, we will explore the concept of RAF in the Old Testament, specifically looking at how it provides insight and favor to those who trust in God.? In the context of the Old Testament and the concept of RAS, we can see how relying on God's guidance and wisdom can help us to filter out distractions and focus on what truly matters in our lives.


The Word of God has been a source of guidance and inspiration for believers throughout the ages. From the very beginning, the Bible has provided insight and wisdom on how to live a righteous and fulfilling life in accordance with God's will. The Old Testament, in particular, contains many powerful verses of Insight (RAS) that offer guidance and favor to those who seek to live according to God's commandments. One of the key verses in the Old Testament that highlights the importance of RAS is found in Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." This verse emphasizes the importance of trusting in God's wisdom and guidance, rather than relying on our own limited understanding. When we acknowledge God in all areas of our lives, He promises to lead us down the right path.


The Healing by His instructions on Prosperity and Security by His Clarity of Holy Fear is a powerful concept that emphasizes the importance of following God's guidance in order to experience His blessings and protection. This idea is rooted in the Old Testament, where we see countless examples of individuals who put their faith in God and experienced His healing, provision, and protection as a result. By following God's instructions and relying on His wisdom, we can experience both spiritual and physical healing in our lives.


Another verse that highlights the concept of RAF is found in Psalm 20:7: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." This verse reminds us that true security and strength come from relying on God's power, rather than our own resources or abilities. When we trust in God, we can have confidence that He will provide everything we need.


The story of David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17 is a classic example of RAS in action. David, a young shepherd boy, faced off against the giant Goliath with nothing but a slingshot and a handful of stones. Yet he was able to defeat Goliath because he relied on God's favor and power. As David declared to Goliath before the battle, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty" (1 Samuel 17:45). David's trust in God's power allowed him to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.


In the book of Isaiah, we find another powerful verse that emphasizes the importance of RAS: "But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:31). This verse promises that when we trust in God, He will give us the strength we need to face any challenge that comes our way. We can have confidence that He will provide the power and favor we need to overcome obstacles and achieve our goals.


Finally, the book of Jeremiah contains a verse that provides insight into the nature of God's favor: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). This verse reminds us that God's favor is not just about blessing us in the present moment, but also about leading us towards a bright and hopeful future. When we trust in God's plans for our lives, we can have confidence that He will guide us towards the best possible outcome.?



The Emotional (His Glory, soul): breathing, sleeping, and regulating the autonomic nervous system- avoid drama


"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." - Colossians 3:23-24


"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." - Colossians 3:17


The Counselor: the role is to give guidance and wisdom to believers, helping them to understand God's will and live a life that is pleasing to Him.


The Son of God, Divine Figure:

  • ?Morally upright and in alignment with God's will.
  • ?Attention, learning, and memory.


The Major Prophet section of the Old Testament contains powerful commands, dreams, and visions that provide guidance, hope, and comfort to believers. These messages emphasize the importance of obedience, trust, and faithfulness to God's commands, and the restoration and fulfillment that comes from following His wisdom and guidance. The pons is located in the lower part of the brainstem, between the medulla oblongata and the midbrain. The pons contains a number of important structures that are involved in regulating vital functions such as breathing, heart rate, and sleep.?


One of the key functions of the Pons is to regulate the transition between different stages of sleep, including the stage of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, which is when most dreaming occurs. During REM sleep, the pons sends signals to the thalamus and the cerebral cortex, which are responsible for processing sensory information and generating conscious awareness. These signals activate a variety of neural circuits that are involved in creating and processing the images, sounds, and other sensations that we experience in our dreams.


Dreams and prophecies are two different types of experiences that involve our consciousness and the way we perceive reality. Dreams are a natural and common experience that occurs during sleep and are characterized by a range of sensory experiences, such as images, sounds, and sensations. They are believed to be the result of the brain processing and integrating information and experiences from our waking lives. In contrast, prophecies are a form of divine communication that are believed to come from a higher spiritual source, such as God or a prophet. They are often interpreted as messages or warnings about future events, and are believed to offer guidance or direction to believers. Prophecies are considered to be a supernatural experience, as they are believed to be beyond the ordinary realm of human consciousness.


While dreams and prophecies may share some similarities in terms of the types of sensory experiences they involve, they are fundamentally different in their origin and purpose. Dreams are a natural and common experience that are a result of our brain activity during sleep, while prophecies are considered to be a form of divine communication that are believed to offer guidance and direction to believers.


While the exact purpose of dreaming is still a subject of much debate among scientists and scholars, there is growing evidence to suggest that dreaming serves a number of important functions. Some researchers believe that dreaming is a way for the brain to process and consolidate memories, emotions, and other experiences, helping us to make sense of our lives and our place in the world. Others suggest that dreaming may serve as a kind of "rehearsal" for future events, helping us to prepare for challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.??


The Pons, dreaming, and the major prophets all serve as powerful reminders of the complexity and wonder of the human brain and its connection to the spiritual realm. Through their teachings and experiences, we can gain a deeper understanding of God's plan for humanity and our place in His design. And through the pons and our dreams, we can catch a glimpse of the mysteries and wonders that lie just beyond the reach of our conscious minds. The major prophets of the Old Testament often experienced vivid dreams and visions that were believed to be messages from God. These dreams and visions played a critical role in revealing God's plan for humanity and the world, and provided guidance and encouragement to believers in times of great trial and uncertainty.


-Isaiah, for example, had a vision of the Lord seated on a throne, surrounded by angels and seraphim, who proclaimed the glory and majesty of God. This vision inspired Isaiah to dedicate his life to serving God and sharing His message of hope and redemption with others.


-Jeremiah also had a number of powerful visions, including a vision of a boiling pot that symbolized the impending judgment and destruction that was about to befall Jerusalem. Despite the challenges and persecution that he faced, Jeremiah remained faithful to his calling as a prophet and continued to proclaim God's message of repentance and hope to the people of Israel.


The major prophets played a crucial role in revealing God's plan for humanity and the world, and their messages continue to inspire, command and guide believers today. Through their words, we can gain a deeper understanding of God's nature, His love and justice, and His ultimate plan for salvation and redemption. Through their prophecies and teachings, the major prophets revealed many mysteries of God's design and plan for the universe and all of His ways, providing insight and guidance for believers throughout the ages such as :?

  • The restoration of hope by God's command of obedience and trust in His plan.
  • The restoration of hope and comfort by the revelation of God's great love and faithfulness.?
  • The restoration of the heart and spirit by God's power and presence, leading to obedience and fulfillment of His commands.?
  • The restoration of wisdom and understanding by the revelation of God's power and sovereignty over all things.


These books contain prophetic messages of judgment, hope, and restoration that continue to inspire and guide believers today. Through their teachings and prophecies, we can gain a deeper understanding of God's nature and His ultimate plan for salvation and redemption. These verses provide valuable insights on how to live a life that is pleasing to God, and how to seek His favor and blessings in all that we do. Here are four such verses are found in the Old Testament's collection of books known as the Major Prophets:?


  • Jeremiah: This book contains prophetic messages of judgment, warning of impending destruction for the people's disobedience, and calls for repentance. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."?
  • Lamentations: This book is a collection of five poems lamenting the destruction of Jerusalem and expressing deep sorrow and mourning. Lamentations 3:22-23 says, "Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."?
  • Ezekiel: This book contains prophetic messages of judgment and restoration, including visions of God's glory and the restoration of the Temple. Ezekiel 36:26-27 says, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."?
  • Daniel: This book contains prophetic messages and visions of the future, including the rise and fall of kingdoms and the ultimate triumph of God's kingdom.
  • Daniel 2:20-21 says, "Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.".


Through the role of the Counselor, believers can find the guidance and wisdom they need to navigate the challenges of life and experience the fullness of God's blessings and grace. The major prophets of the Bible, including Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, and Daniel, revealed many mysteries of God's design of the universe and all of His ways. They prophesied about the coming of the Messiah, the ultimate plan of salvation for humanity, and the judgment of the wicked. They also provided insight into God's character and revealed His attributes of love, mercy, justice, and holiness as seen here:?


  • Isaiah, for example, prophesied about the virgin birth of Jesus and described Him as the suffering servant who would bear the sins of the world.?
  • Jeremiah warned of the impending destruction of Jerusalem and the Babylonian exile, but also prophesied about the coming of a new covenant and a new hope for God's people.?
  • Ezekiel had visions of God's throne and the glory of God, and he prophesied about the restoration of Israel and the coming of the Messiah.
  • Daniel was given visions of the end times, including the rise and fall of empires, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment. He also revealed the significance of the number 70 in God's plan for Israel and the world.?


In addition to prophesying about the coming Messiah and the future of Israel, the major prophets also revealed important truths about God's nature and character. The major prophets also revealed God's plan for salvation and redemption as seen here:?


  • Isaiah emphasized God's holiness and the need for repentance, while Jeremiah focused on God's love and faithfulness despite Israel's disobedience.?
  • Ezekiel's visions revealed God's glory and sovereignty over all creation, while Daniel's prophecies demonstrated God's control over history and the ultimate triumph of His kingdom.
  • Isaiah prophesied about the suffering servant who would bear the sins of the people and bring about reconciliation between God and humanity. Jeremiah spoke of a new covenant that God would establish with His people, one that would be written on their hearts and bring about true obedience and transformation.?
  • Ezekiel's vision of the valley of dry bones showed God's power to bring new life and resurrection to His people.
  • Daniel's prophecies pointed to the coming of the Son of Man, who would reign forever and establish God's kingdom on earth.


In addition to prophesying about the coming of the Messiah and the future of Israel, the major prophets also revealed insights into God's character and His expectations for humanity. They emphasized the importance of repentance, obedience, justice, and mercy, and warned against idolatry, pride, and hypocrisy. They also spoke about God's love for His people and His desire for them to live in relationship with Him.


The major prophets also gave glimpses into the spiritual realm and the ongoing battle between good and evil. They described angels and other heavenly beings, as well as demonic forces and their influence on the world. They also spoke about the ultimate defeat of Satan and his followers, and the victory of God's kingdom. Here are some verses from the major prophets that touch upon the spiritual realm and the battle between good and evil, so the following can be read here:

  • Isaiah 14:12-15 - This passage describes the fall of Satan, who is referred to as the "morning star" or "Lucifer." It speaks of his pride and rebellion against God, and his ultimate downfall.
  • Isaiah 6:1-7 - This passage describes Isaiah's vision of the throne room of God, with angels surrounding Him and proclaiming His holiness. It also emphasizes the sinfulness of humanity in comparison to God's perfect righteousness.
  • Ezekiel 28:12-19 - This passage is another description of the fall of Satan, this time through the metaphor of the king of Tyre. It speaks of his beauty and wisdom, but also his pride and corruption, which led to his downfall.
  • Ezekiel 1:4-28 - This passage describes Ezekiel's vision of God's throne chariot, with four living creatures and wheels within wheels. It emphasizes the awesomeness and holiness of God, and His sovereignty over all creation.
  • Daniel 10:10-14 - This passage describes Daniel's encounter with an angel, who tells him of the ongoing spiritual battle between the forces of good and evil. The angel had been delayed in coming to Daniel because he had been fighting against the prince of Persia, a powerful demon.
  • Daniel 10:10-14 (NIV) "A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. He said, “Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling. Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”"
  • Daniel 10:20-21 (NIV) "So he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece will come; but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth. (No one supports me against them except Michael, your prince.)"


Furthermore, the major prophets pointed to the ultimate restoration of all things and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. They spoke about a time when there would be no more war, suffering, or injustice, and when all nations would come together in peace and worship of God. They also looked forward to the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment, when all would give an account for their lives before God:?


  • Isaiah is known for his prophecies about the coming of the Messiah and the suffering servant in Isaiah 53. He also spoke about the judgment of the nations and the ultimate restoration of Israel in chapters 40-66.
  • Jeremiah prophesied about the coming judgment upon Judah for their disobedience and idolatry, as well as the promise of a new covenant with God that would be written on the hearts of His people.
  • Ezekiel prophesied about the judgment of Israel and the nations, as well as the future restoration and renewal of the temple and the land.
  • Daniel prophesied about the rise and fall of kingdoms, including the Babylonian, Persian, and Greek empires, as well as the coming of the Messiah and the establishment of His eternal kingdom. He also had visions of the end times and the resurrection of the dead.


The Mental (His Hope, mind):? immune system, emotions and memories


"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him." Jeremiah 17:7


The Comforter: role of The Comforter or Advocate in Holy Scriptures "Jesus Christ" is to provide both spiritual and physiological support and guidance to believers on their journey of faith.


Holy Scriptures “Jesus Christ”: God's word and teachings:?

  • Source of a true spiritual life.
  • Suffering as a result of living in a fallen world: sends signals to other parts of the brain to control levels of attention and alertness.
  • Thymus immune system, emotions and memories.
  • Lumbar Plexus, Sacral Plexus: lower back, pelvis, and legs, back pain, leg pain, and other problems.?



The Thymus is a small gland located in the chest, just behind the sternum. The Thymus, a small gland plays a vital role in the immune system and can also be linked to our emotional health and memories. The Lumbar Plexus and Sacral Plexus, located in the lower back, pelvis, and legs, can also impact our physical and emotional well-being. The Bible teaches that our true spiritual life comes from our relationship with Jesus Christ, who is the source of our salvation and the ultimate example of obedience to God's will. Through faith in Him, we can experience the forgiveness of our sins and the power to live a transformed life.??


Our physical bodies are also intricately connected to our spiritual lives. While the thymus is not directly mentioned in the Bible, its function in the body can be related to the importance of remaining connected to Jesus with His instructions and blessings such as bearing fruit in our lives. The Thymus plays a vital role in the immune system, producing T-cells that help defend the body against infections and diseases. In a similar way, our spiritual health is strengthened and protected by remaining connected to Jesus, who is the source of our spiritual vitality. Just as the Thymus produces T-cells that help fight off harmful invaders, our connection with Jesus helps us to resist the temptations and challenges that can threaten our spiritual health.?


As Jesus emphasized in John 15:5, apart from Him, we can do nothing of eternal significance. It is only through our relationship with Him that we can bear fruit in our lives, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).


Through prayer, reading the Bible, and fellowship with other believers, we can stay connected to Jesus and experience His life-giving power in our lives. So let us remember the importance of remaining connected to Jesus, like the Thymus is connected to the immune system, and allow Him to work in us and through us to produce fruit that will last for eternity.

This verse from Acts 2:38-39 reminds us of the importance of repentance, baptism, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. Through these acts, we can receive forgiveness for our sins and be filled with the Holy Spirit, who will guide and support us in our walk with God.


"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16


This well-known verse speaks to the ultimate act of love and sacrifice that God made for us by sending His Son to die for our sins. Through our belief in Him, we can have eternal life and a close relationship with God.


"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30


These words of Jesus offer comfort and rest to those who are struggling with the weight of life's challenges. By taking on His yoke and learning from Him, we can find rest and peace in our souls.


"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20


In these verses, Jesus commissions His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He promises to be with them always as they carry out this mission.


"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing." - John 15:5


In this analogy of the vine and branches, Jesus emphasizes the importance of remaining connected to Him in order to bear fruit in our lives. Without Him, we can do nothing of eternal significance. El Shaddai, which translates to "God Almighty," is one of the names of God used in the Bible. It emphasizes God's power and sovereignty over all things, including our lives. As believers, we are called to trust in God's control and follow His will for our lives.


Following God's will is not always easy, and it can involve suffering and challenges. This is a result of living in a fallen world, where sin and brokenness have brought pain and hardship. However, even in the midst of suffering, we can find hope and comfort in God's word and teachings.


Chronic stress and anxiety can negatively impact neuroplasticity and overall brain function, increasing the risk of neurological disorders such as depression and anxiety disorders. By focusing on God's control and following His will for our lives, we can find peace and rest for our souls, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. In conclusion, El Shaddai emphasizes God's power and sovereignty over all things, including our lives. Following God's will can involve suffering, but we can find hope and comfort in His word and teachings. Our physical bodies are also intricately connected to our spiritual lives, and by focusing on God's control, we can find peace and rest for our souls.



The Psychological (Emotional- In Spirit, strength (physical) & Mental- In Truth, might (both)):? regulating the brain's overall activity levels


"And this is what He promised us—eternal life." 1 John 2:25?


The Advocate: role is to help believers discern the truth and to guide them in their spiritual journey


The Spirit of God or The Comforter:

  • Unmerited favor and love.
  • Language, reasoning, and problem-solving.?
  • Sensory information, the formation of memories, and the generation of thoughts and ideas.


Ascending Reticular Activating System (ARAS), is a collection of nerve fibers that are responsible for regulating the overall activity levels of the brain. Proper adoration involves worshiping God in a way that is aligned with His will and character. By engaging in authentic and meaningful worship, we can tap into the power of the ARAS which regulates the brain's overall activity levels. This can lead to improved cognitive processes such as attention, arousal, and wakefulness, which in turn can help us to achieve a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment in our lives.?


While the Ascending Reticular Activating System (ARAS) is not mentioned in the Bible, it can be seen as having a similar role to the Holy Spirit in terms of guiding and influencing our thoughts and actions. Just as the Holy Spirit provides guidance and wisdom to believers, again the ARAS plays a crucial role in regulating our attention and alertness, and sending signals to other parts of the brain that impact our emotional responses and memories.


Living in the Spirit and in truth means not only following the guidance of the Holy Spirit or the ARAS, but also making conscious choices to live in accordance with God's will and His Word. This includes striving to live a pure and blameless life, pursuing our purpose and fulfilling the unique calling that God has placed on our lives. However, living in accordance with God's will is not always easy, and we may face challenges and suffering as a result of living in a fallen world. But as believers, we can take comfort in the promises and oaths that God has given us through His Word, including the promise of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.


Ultimately, the role of the Advocate, whether it be the Holy Spirit or the ARAS, is to guide us towards a deeper understanding of God's love and purpose for our lives, and to help us live in a way that is pleasing to Him. Through divine guidance and the promises of His Word, we can live with hope and confidence, knowing that we are co-heirs with Christ and that nothing can separate us from the love of God.


From the very beginning, the Bible was intended to be a guide for humanity, providing insights, command, instructions and oaths on how to live a righteous and fulfilling life in accordance with God's will. One of the central themes in the Bible is the idea of God's promises and oaths to His people. Here are five verses from various books of the New Testament that highlight these promises and oaths:?

  1. 1 John 2:25: "And this is what he promised us—eternal life." This verse reminds us of the promise of eternal life that is available to us through faith in Jesus Christ.
  2. Hebrews 6:13-14: "When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, 'I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.'" This verse references God's promise to Abraham and the oaths that he made to fulfill that promise.
  3. 2 Corinthians 1:20: "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so through him the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God." This verse reminds us that all of God's promises are fulfilled in Christ and that we can trust in them completely.
  4. James 1:12: "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." This verse speaks to the promise of the crown of life for those who persevere through trials and hardships.
  5. Romans 8:17: "Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." This verse speaks to the promise that we are co-heirs with Christ, sharing in both his sufferings and his glory.



The Advocate: through the work, believers can become more spiritually attuned and effective in their service to God.


The Spirit of God or the Comforter:?

  • Wisdom is a divine attribute.
  • Mood regulation, appetite, and sleep


His Hope is an essential part of our Christian faith. As we offer our bodies as a living sacrifice to God, we do so in view of His mercy, knowing that He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This hope gives us the strength to persevere in difficult times and to trust in God's goodness and provision for our lives. The Holy One, God calls us to a life of purity, righteousness, and devotion to Him. We are set apart as His chosen people, called to serve Him in a special way.


Through the renewing of our minds and the transformation of our hearts, we can become more like Christ and live a life that is pleasing to God. The cognitive processes that govern our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can be transformed by the power of God's word and the indwelling of His Spirit, enabling us to live a life that reflects His holiness and love.


  • Holy Scripture is the foundation of our faith, providing us with God's word and teachings that guide us in our walk with Him. The Bible is holy ground, representing the sacredness of God's presence and the transformative power of His word.
