THE PIZZA CHOICE TO EAT IS ALWAYS THE HEALTHIEST AND THE BEST......WHY ??
The Pizza Choice to eat versus other food is always the healthiest and best choice for your Body ! Let’s see……..why ??
Pizza is the only Natural and fresh snack among all the food we eat because is made fresh on the spot in front of you while you waiting few minutes…..
If you been following my Food Educational Blog and my Articles, you have notice that our main goal is First and at Most will be to educate our followers/Consumer at large how to eat better buying better quality food, and second how to redeem the Pizza Image from being a junk fattening food that many people’s think to the Healthy snack that really is, but before we go deeper into the Pizza World we cannot overlook first the damage that the processed food is doing to our body, if you can only imagine that 95% of the food we buying in the supermarket either directly or indirectly is processed food.
The Processed food that we eat every day, is damaging our body this is one of the main reason why to chose Pizza versus other processed food which the Supermarkets are loaded with it, therefore let’s look how can we drain the toxins build up in our body and Detoxify our Lymphatic System ?
Because Pizza is basically cooked fresh on the spot without any processed food in it, providing you use fresh tomatoes, and all other fresh vegetables on top it is the best natural snack money can buy…….
What is the Lymphatic System anyway ?
Did you know that we are exposed to 82,000 different toxins, chemically-based products and processed foods in our environment weekly?
Detoxification is the body’s natural, ongoing process of eliminating harmful toxins from the body so that it can function at its best. Toxins are man-made chemicals found in the air, water, food, household cleaners and cosmetic products as well as waste products produced by normal cellular activity.
When toxins enter the body through the skin, nasal passage or mouth, the body prevents “pollution” by surrounding the toxins with fat and water and stores them in different areas of the body. This can put a strain on our body’s own detox system (the liver, intestines, kidneys, lungs, skin, blood and lymphatic systems). These systems can become burdened as they try to safely excrete toxins.
Our bodies were not meant to work this hard to maintain optimal functioning. By adding a detox program to your wellness regimen, you can help pull these toxins, along with the excess fat and water, out of the body and improve your health quickly.
Not many people know what is Lymphatic System: This Forgotten Hero
The lymphatic system is the most forgotten and least understood system in the body. It is critical to the detoxification process. The lymph travels parallel with the blood system and is responsible for the removal of wastes from every cell in the body, in addition to regulating the immune system. The lymph is thus a very important system to support optimal health.
It is Imperative to keep our Body’s Drains Clean……..
The lymphatic system is like the garbage system of the body. Proper functioning of the lymphatic system is essential in order to properly eliminate wastes. Our lymphatic system can become and remain congested and stagnant for many years. Thus, we often live in an environment of toxins that weakens our immunity. Proper lymph drainage will eliminate these toxins and assist the body to function optimally.
The Importance of the Digestion: Where It All Begins
The body’s ability to detox starts in digestive system, in the villae of the small intestine. The “lacteals” in the villae are part of the lymphatic system and they pull nutrients and fat-soluble toxins off the intestinal wall. If the gut is constipated or there is excessive reactive mucus bogging down the villi, the lymph and its white blood cells may not provide immunity or detoxification.
The highest concentration of lymph is found lining the outside of the gut wall and is called the Gut Associated Lymphoid Tissue (GALT). The skin of the intestinal tract is constantly being exposed to toxins and undesirable microbes that could present a problem. So, the body has an immunity army waiting in the GALT just across the wall of the gut.
What Doctors have to say about Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
Lymph vessels are also found under our skin throughout the body. These vessels support circulation, drainage of waste and immunity. When the lymph flow slows, the skin will appear dull and toxins will build up.
Since the lymph moves against gravity, it is common for the lymph and veins to congest, yielding an unsightly appearance in the feet, legs, thighs, hips, belly and arms.
Dr Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a gentle rhythmical technique that gently works on the lymphatic vessels to enhance the flow of lymph throughout the body’s tissues.
MLD also helps to support the healthy function of the immune system and the autonomic nervous system, thereby reducing stress. The therapy cleanses the connective tissue of wastes, thus decongesting and reducing edema, pain and swelling.
Why we should have a Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy
? Faster recovery and less scarring from surgery and other types of trauma by making lymph flow faster and stimulating the formation of new connections between lymph vessels
? Clears congestive conditions such as chronic sinusitis, bronchitis, acne, and headaches
? Strengthens the immune system
? Relieves heaviness tightness and swelling in those suffering from lymphedema.
? Increases overall relaxation by decreasing stress
? Relieves retention of fluids during pregnancy and menstrual cycle
? Decreases local edemas and hematomas from orthopedic surgery, cosmetic surgery scars, and burn scars; leading to a decreased in healing time and increase in client mobility
? People who suffer from insomnia, stress, fibromyalgia, and autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, lupus, and rheumatism benefit greatly from MLD
There are many anti-viral foods can help you with viral infections, especially the common cold and flu. And these foods are normal rich in several essential nutrients to boost a strong immune system to fight against the infections.
For example, 1) lemon has been used as a cold and flu remedy since long time, it has been proven that this citrus fruit contains 15 different antiviral compounds. It’s recommended to consume fresh lemon juice in the flu season as it’s the best source of anti-viral substances as well as vitamin C.
Antiviral Foods
Viruses are microscopic agents that replicate in the body's cells and are responsible for a bevy of infections and diseases, including chickenpox, AIDS and the common cold. Although bacterial infections may be treated with antibiotics, viral infections cannot. Instead, viral infections depend on the body's immune system for relief. Dietary steps can be taken to help prevent or treat many common viral conditions.
The Greek physician Hippocrates, considered by many as the "father of Western medicine", once said, "Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food." Certain foods are considered functional foods, that is, they contain healing properties above and beyond basic nutritional value. Foods can stimulate immune function, increasing resistance to infection, and inhibit the action of pathogenic microorganisms.
Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamin C, a water-soluble nutrient essential for warding off infections. Vitamin C helps to strengthen the immune system and increase resistance to infection. The best food sources of vitamin C include strawberries, pineapples, kiwi, citrus fruits, cantaloupe, watermelon, broccoli, cabbage, kale and cauliflower. According to the book "Healing Foods", lime juice is a natural antibiotic, and demonstrates effectiveness against the development of cholera, a bacterial disease in the intestine.
foods that contain known antiviral compounds:
Concentration of antiviral activity in parts per million
2) Walnut 1,375,300 (4 compounds)
3) Pomegranate 752,000 (2 compounds)
4) Coconut 739,884 (4 compounds)
5) Common tea leaves 714,946 (18 compounds)
Other great foods that have strong anti-viral properties:
6) Shiitake Mushrooms
This is one of the best source that is loaded with valuable nutrients and high anti-viral properties, based on studies, shiitake mushroom has at least 11 identified compounds that have ability to inhibit viral replication in healthy cells.
7) Garlic
Garlic is renowned for the compound allicin, which exerts antibacterial and antifungal effects. According to a study by D.C.J. Maidment, published in a 1999 issue of "Nutrition and Food Science", increased garlic concentration reduced bacterial numbers of the microorganisms escherichia coli and staphylococcus albus. However, it is worthy to note that the antibacterial effect of garlic lessened after a 30-minute exposure to heat. In addition to garlic, members of the Allium genus have shown antibiotic effects. These include onions, leeks, shallots and chives.
Garlic is a highly recommended food for protecting you from the cold and flu viruses. Regularly consuming garlic may reduce your risk of getting cold by almost 64%. And it can help shorten the duration of symptoms by about 70% of you are already infected.
8) Astragalus
This herb is popular used in chicken soup in China, which has good anti-viral properties. Homemade chicken soup, this traditional home remedy for the common cold and flu does help! Here is a recipe for a Chinese herb chicken soup.
9) Horseradish
According to the book "Healing Foods", horseradish helps protect against food-borne illness. The pungent chemical allyl isothiocyanate, formed when horseradish is cut, is the active constituent responsible for the stated antibacterial effects.
10) Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has good anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties, it has been shown to kill 98% of all germs and even has ability to kill cancer cells. Add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of honey in a cup of water, drink it twice a day to relieve the symptoms of the common cold and flu.
11) Seaweed
Both raw and dried seaweed are with excellent anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s also one of the best plant sources of calcium, as well as other essential minerals, including iodine, iron, magnesium.
12) Cinnamon
Cinnamon is a good antifungal and antibacterial agent. According to the book "Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide", the healing properties of cinnamon are from the essential oils found in its bark. Combine cinnamon and honey for a well-rounded antibiotic effect. Dr. Nizar Haddad, director of the Bee Research Unit at the National Center for Agricultural Research and Technology Transfer in Jordan, says that honey has been used for over 2,000 years to suppress the growth of bacteria and fungus. It is active against at least 60 strains of bacteria, including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
13) Probiotics
Probiotics, which include lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacteria, have an indirect antiobiotic effect. They help increase the number of good bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, which in turn, helps fight against invasive microorganisms. According to the book "Healing Foods", bifidobacteria are the primary organisms found in mothers' milk and are effective inhibitors against many disease-causing organisms.
