Keeping the world connected: Sim Local

Everyone wants to stay connected when they’re travelling. If you’re an avid traveller, you might have spotted Sim Local’s stores and vending machines dotted around over 100 airports.?

After a recent rebrand of its stores and kiosks, we were asked to upgrade their existing LCD digital infrastructure. By refreshing Sim Local’s digital interfaces, we improved customer experience and continue to draw the attention of passers-by to stores and vending machines.?Read more about how we did it here.

Augmented Reality in retail

In the past, augmented reality has been a bit of a novelty in retail, but nowadays really useful campaigns are appearing for customers, like in-store AR wayfinding and AR room decorators.

Some brands may have avoided investing in the past due to perceived barriers, but friend of Pixel and all-round AR expert Alastair Eilbeck, Ph.D., Director at media arts studio, Meyouandus, and AR technology startup FeedAR., says that retail businesses often already have the spatial data they need to support AR, the main challenge is integrating the right thinking across the business.
