Skyesports Revamps 2025 Circuit, Cuts Tier-One Events and Prize Pool
Skyesports has revised its 2025 circuit plans, scaling back from three tier-one events to a single marquee tournament while cutting the prize pool from $500,000 to $350,000. Valve added the event to its “exception list,” allowing the organizer flexibility amid the changes.
The sole tier-one contest, Skyesports Masters, is slated for November 10-16. In a separate announcement, Skyesports confirmed that the previously cancelled Souvenir event will return as an open, India-only ranked competition. An additional tier-two event is also planned for later in the year, though details remain under wraps.
Skyesports cited long-term sustainability as the primary motivation behind the adjustments. “These changes reflect our strategic re-alignment to ensure we continue hosting large-scale, global events sustainably,” according to the company’s statement. The move follows last year’s operational challenges amid political and technical disruptions.

In South Korea, Olympic or Asian Games medallists earn an exemption from national service, a benefit that transforms a sporting achievement into a life-changing milestone.?
Similarly, India’s recent decision to award cash incentives to esports medalists at events like the Olympics underscores the growing recognition of esports as a legitimate discipline.
