Pivoting Your Launch to Online Events - And Why You Need Micro-Influencers

In today's new normal, effectively introducing your latest offer to potential clients suggests a pivot to online events - and partnering with micro-influencers is key to scaling your reach.

Online launches allow you to engage your audience on a global scale safely from anywhere. You can do livestreams, Q&As, and training directly to attendees' phones, tablets and computers. And if you’re not having these interactive online experiences, this is the pivot you need.?

Even though anyone from anywhere can tune into a webinar, driving a significant number of registrations is challenging without promotional support. This is where collaborating with micro-influencers in your industry or niche pays off tremendously.

Consider partnering with a few well-connected coaches, bloggers, podcasters, YouTubers and community leaders with audiences in the 10k-50k range or more. Provide them with early access to your launch content in exchange for social media posts and newsletter content.?

Their engaged, qualified followers are primed to learn about your event from a trusted source. A few strategic influencer promotions can amplify your reach exponentially beyond what traditional ads or emails alone could do.

And I say this all the time when it comes to doing collaborative events - be sure to provide high-quality graphics and messaging that makes it effortless for influencers to endorse your online event to their lists. Follow up with offers that are intentional to nurture ongoing relationships.

As we make adjustments in our businesses, leveraging micro-influencers is a tactic for successfully scaling online launches, program/product introductions and other online-focused marketing efforts. It’s time to get strategic about influencer partnerships.

Here’s how you can find the right micro-influencers to partner with for your online event-

Start by researching hashtags and keywords related to your industry/niche on Instagram. Look for accounts with 10,000-50,000 followers that regularly post engaging, educational content. These types of influencers are likely a good fit for your ideal audience.?

Check podcast and blog directories like Buzzsprout and Feedspot for up-and-coming shows and sites focused on your topics with under 50,000 subscribers/readers. The hosts here are building influence and want to support their community.

On X, search keywords and filter by number of followers to find relevant profiles in the 10k-50k range. Look through their engagement metrics and followers for quality over quantity. These influencers have niche audiences relevant for your event.?

Once you've identified a few qualified micro-influencers, send them a personalized message explaining your event and how you can mutually benefit one another. Offer promotions like a speaking slot or early bird ticket discounts in exchange for promotions to their engaged followers or community. With the right influencer partners, you're sure to boost registrations for your next online summit or training.
