A career pivot! Exciting and sometimes daunting. Let's break it down. A career pivot is a strategic move to transition into a new career path, industry, or role. Here are some steps to consider:
Identify your motivations, values, and strengths. What are you looking for in a new career? What are your non-negotiables?
Research new career options, job descriptions, and required skills. Network with people in your desired field and ask questions. Invest in courses, training, or certifications to bridge the gap between your current skills and new career requirements. Emphasize the skills you already possess that can be applied to your new career, such as communication, problem-solving, or leadership. Revamp your resume, LinkedIn profile, and online presence to showcase your new career direction. Attend industry events, join professional organizations, or volunteer to establish relationships and learn about opportunities. Depending on your career pivot, you might need to take a temporary pay reduction to gain experience and build your way up. Career pivots can take time, and it's essential to stay focused, persistent, and open-minded throughout the process.
Remember, a successful career pivot requires strategic planning, hard work, and a willingness to learn and adapt.?You?got?this!

Getting an external perspective can help offer up the mirror that helps people change and adapt. As a coach I am always impressed at how people can and do adapt and thrive. Not just based on confidence, yes that comes but insight which takes you further.
