Pivoting during a pandemic

I am very excited to be taking on a new role. I’ve taken our Chairperson’s mantra that “growth and comfort don’t coexist” to heart. What I didn’t realize is the timing would coincide with a time when meeting new clients is extremely challenging. Our current physical distancing makes meeting new people a “virtual” affair. It adds an extra layer of planning and trying to reach out and forge new connections.

When I reflected on how this will be possible, I realized my colleagues are the key to success. I am fortunate in my new role to join two powerful teams in our matrixed organization. The first, the Canadian Public Sector team is dynamic and I already know most of them from my previous role. They are collaborative and have welcomed me enthusiastically as I officially take on this new role. The second, the Cloud Services team is full of highly intelligent individuals who are used to working virtually.

With this intersection of two great teams, I need to focus on taking others up on their offers of help. I’m used to being the person people come to for help so that will be a switch! 

We are also planning some creative ways to reach out to the market and help our clients progress in this new reality. Watch this space for more information to come in the coming days. Thankfully our solutions can all be implemented remotely and help clients on their digital transformation journey, which today’s reality has shown, is more important than ever!
