Pivotal Moments is on Amazon!

Pivotal Moments is on Amazon!

Last week proved to be another exciting and pivotal point in my life as a businesswoman and as a writer. My book, Pivotal Moments just got published on Amazon!

When I decided to write the book, I was only aiming to share my experiences as a woman in business and hope that it would help other new and struggling businesswomen. While writing the book, it turned out to be more than I can hope for, way beyond what I have envisioned. I ended up sharing more stories and intimate details of my life that proved to be my pivotal moments. Lessons learned, life snippets, insights, failures and wins, and turning points that led me to where I am right now.

I was so engrossed in telling my story that I was compelled to tell all and accurately. If I was to provide a real picture of what it’s like to be a woman in business, I have to be 100% true. I can’t leave out the struggles and misses and just glorify the achievements and the wins. I must start from my background, my inspirations, and my visions. I have to include my weaknesses, my sophomoric mistakes, and the lessons that came with it. I also added helpful business tips and insights gathered from my experiences of starting and running businesses.

Just like starting a business, I was completely clueless about how and where to start putting together a book. I can’t recall the number of times I have to discard the manuscript and start writing again. I have to take out some part I thought was too personal, then ended up putting it back. There were times when I get too emotional, too pumped up, and then there were times when I just can’t deal with it.

When I finally finished writing, it took me a long time to decide about releasing it. I was so proud of how it turned out. It was powerful as it was personal. It was inspiring as it was real. The book is my story – a raw, honest, and compelling story of me.

But, releasing it would mean showing my soul to everyone – my thoughts, my dreams, my life! The idea of letting so many people know me that intimately was so unnerving and discomforting.

Then I took the courage to show it to my family and closest friends, asking for an honest feedback and opinion. They all encouraged me to publish and share with the world. They think that the book could positively influence a lot of women, women who are struggling with their business or too afraid to start one, or simply caught up with their life.

I’m still skeptical and terrified, but I have to woman up. This is the truth, and this is me. I shouldn’t be ashamed of anything. I should be proud of it.

And then I got published on Amazon! Seeing the book up on the largest book outlet in the world is exhilarating. This is another one of my pivotal moments to treasure.

I invite you to join me on my journey, and for you to let me join yours. You can get the paperback copy of the book here. It is also available in Kindle from this link.

I would welcome your thoughts and comments. Send me a message here or leave a comment on Amazon. I will read them all.

And if you think you know somebody struggling and in need of a good and inspiring story, please do not hesitate to share this post or to let them know about Pivotal Moments.

Love Susanne
