Today we’d like to share something that our UI/UX designers usually work on: Figma – which is a vector graphics editor, which acts as a prototyping tool.

Through this software we build wireframes which facilitates us to build the entire structure/skeleton of our application.

Prototyping is one of the main features of Figma and there are 2 approaches to this:

?Creating High fidelity designs and Low fidelity designs (designers should be thorough with these approaches).

Other than these there are 3 major features of Figma:

1.??????Building Components- these are elements which you can reuse across your designs. These components could be icons, buttons, layouts, or an entire roll page. For example - If you are designing a Header for your website, through component building you can easily duplicate the header on various pages/screens.

2.??????Creating Variants- Grouping similar components together is a way of creating variants and also making multiple versions of the same component. For example- Suppose you create a button, the designer has to keep in mind to allot particular colors/fonts for when the button is clicked to represent the same. This also allows for better coordination between the designer and the developer.

3.??????Creating Constraints- These are built to reflect the responsiveness of the design. Constraints are the different measurements given to the design for it to be uniform across various devices (web or application). For example – When the designer inserts a profile picture icon on an application, they have to constraint it to fix its position so that it appears the same way on a laptop, mobile phone, tablet etc.
