As we mentioned, company page posts for small to medium enterprises tend to fall a little flat. This can be a little disheartening, especially considering how crucial engagement is to the LinkedIn algorithm.
But wait - how do you even measure engagement?
LinkedIn already does it for you.
The admin view of a company’s business page on LinkedIn calculates the Engagement rate for all the content you post.?The?engagement?rate is calculated as (Clicks + Likes + Comments + Reposts + Follows) / Impressions.
All that really means is that LinkedIn displays how many users interacted with your posts as a percentage.
Typically company page posts get single-digit engagement numbers. So, we tried something different - a new format that’s quickly becoming more and more popular on LinkedIn, particularly on individual profiles.

It’s simple. Create a multi-page PDF with an eye-catching image on the front page that invites your followers to click through.
Engagement for our posts jumped from around 3-9% to 28-30%.
That’s nearly 10X more engagement, just by changing the format.

One of the best ways to spread company-driven content on a social media channel is to encourage staff to engage and share the content the business is producing.
