1. Plan – What are your 3-5 year business goals?
2. Identify- : Identify your trajectory –Define each position, desired skill sets, experience, and personal attributes needed to deliver the defined task at the highest level.
3. Position – Develop job descriptions that clearly identify the attributes of a successful candidate in this specific role. Do not focus on who is currently in the position or your existing job descriptions, actually identify the tasks of the activity, daily requirements, skills and personality attributes that lead to a successful candidate in that position. Create job postings that speak to that ideal candidate.
4. Encourage – Encourage your staff, let them know how you rely on them for your combined success. When Employees feel purpose and pride in their job and a clear understanding of how they impact the overall company success they are more inclined to take ownership of each task and opportunity with a sense of duty and pride.
5. Line –What’s your Bottom Line – Select your key performance indicators that illustrate if you are on the right track and measure them monthly and make sure to share the information with your employees. This contributes to their personal stake in the outcomes of the business and shows their contribution to the progress and health of the organization. Take a look at your metrics quarterly and re-evaluate as needed with reprioritization of projects, goals, and environment. .
