Consultair, a pioneering name in electromechanical projects in the country, is synonymous with quality. Curiously the company's trajectory of success has closely followed the evolution of the UAE. When Maqsood A Sheikh, an engineering graduate, landed in Dubai in 1972, the country was in the process of being formed. After completing various high-profile assignments, Maqsood established Consultair in 1982. The company has the distinction of being the first-ever Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) consultancy in the UAE. As the oldest firm that has been providing Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP), HVAC and related engineering services the construction sector, Consultair has become a name to reckon with.

The firm soon took off in a big way as some of the most valued projects came its way. Consultair designed the palaces of Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, located in Dubai and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, located in Abu Dhabi. The embassy building of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi was another feather in the cap. Consultair completed the design for the new embassy in 1983.

Very soon it bagged the Prestige & Quality award (Geneva, Switzerland) for providing excellent quality services to clients in the Middle East. There was no looking back. The company associated with globally famous Italian ID consultant Marco Belloni to complete the Electromechanical Design for the palace of Shaikha Badour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, daughter of Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed, Ruler of Sharjah.

It has offered its engineering services to leading shopping malls, residential, commercial, educational, historical, industrial and medical complexes. Among the top projects, the firm has done cutting-edge design and supervision work for the Ajman College, Oman Steel Shopping Complex, Al Safeer Shopping Mall Sharjah, Police Academy Al Ain, Century Mal Ras Al Khaimah to name a few.

As a top-notch MEP design firm, Consultair continues its stride into modernity with designs that are efficient, green and sustainable. Little surprise then in 2011, Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi appointed the firm for all HVAC works within his palace compound.
