?? Reminder: Regulations for Gas Sampling Systems?

At Martek Marine, your vessel's safety is our priority. That's why we want to take a moment to remind you about a key regulation regarding gas sampling systems on vessels, as outlined in MSC.1/Circ.1370 - 2.2.2.2 and contained in the FSS Code 2015 Edition.??

?This regulation ensures your vessel meets the necessary safety standards by requiring either:?

??Dual Pumps:?A main pump and a backup pump of equal power and capacity, automatically switching to the backup in case of main pump failure.?

??Spare Pump on Board:?In situations where a dual pump system isn't feasible, the regulation mandates carrying at least one spare extraction pump or equivalent parts readily available onboard.?

We understand that retrofitting existing systems with a second pump can be inconvenient. However, ensuring compliance with this regulation is crucial for maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of your vessel.?
