A Pioneering Partner for Patient Involvement and Diversity in Healthcare

Patient Involvement and Collaboration Community United (@PiCC United), is now ready to collaborate and make a significant difference for patients, carers and patient organisations.

With a clear focus on strengthening diversity and representation, PiCC United aims to create an inclusive healthcare system where different voices are heard and minorities and vulnerable groups are empowered.

A Community Engagement for the Future

At a time when healthcare technology and patient-centric solutions are rapidly evolving, it is more important than ever to ensure that patients' voices actively contribute to decisions about their own health and treatment. PiCC United is founded on the idea that patients and carers should have equal opportunities to participate in health-related decision-making processes, regardless of background, experience or resources.

With a wide range of tools including e-books, webinars, and an online forum, PiCC United offers resources to support patient organisations and individuals in their engagement. In addition, all funds from partnerships and sponsorships are reinvested directly into patient-driven projects, creating a model where patients' needs and priorities are at the centre.

Innovation Through Collaboration

The innovation in PiCC United's approach lies in the combination of data democratisation and a strong focus on patients' right to be heard and involved. By creating a platform where patients can voice their concerns, learn from each other and take part in healthcare projects, PiCC United empowers patients as partners rather than passive participants. This approach allows the healthcare system to better reflect the diversity of the population and adapt to the unique needs and perspectives that are often overlooked.

We've done the work to make patient engagement easy and accessible!

Why is this so important?

Promoting diversity and representation in healthcare is not only a social necessity, but also a way to improve treatment outcomes. When different perspectives are integrated, solutions become more robust and adaptable to the complexities of reality. PiCC United's commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 3 (Health and Well-being), 10 (Reducing Inequalities) and 17 (Partnership for Action), is an expression of the organisation's commitment to creating equal access to health and promoting health solutions that work for everyone.

Become part of the PiCC United Movement

With a structure that promotes transparency, ethical practice and partnership, PiCC United invites healthcare professionals, patient advocates and organisations to take part in this visionary journey towards a more equitable healthcare system. The organisation's dedication to making patient involvement easy and accessible to everyone shows that even small changes can have a big impact on the healthcare system as a whole.

By partnering with PiCC United, organisations can support patient-centric initiatives and help bridge the gap between healthcare and the communities it serves. PiCC United doesn't just create engagement; they build the foundation for a future where the patient voice is not only heard, but integrated into healthcare decisions at all levels.

Follow PiCC United on LinkedIn to learn more about how we are working to promote true patient partnerships and how you can be part of the movement towards a more inclusive and patient-centred healthcare system. We'll continuously share updates, resources and opportunities to engage as a patient or professional.

Feel free to share your experiences and perspectives in the comments below, both as a patient and as a professional.
