The pilot test is the bridge from lab to success plant.
The pilot test is the bridge from lab to success plant.
Though many discoveries happen in the laboratory, the pilot test is so indispensable that numerous innovative projects failed even previously proven in the laboratory. The difference between lab and pilot is not only scale, but the pilot incorporates an engineering perspective that could represent the operation of an actual plant, thus proving the practical condition leading to the success of the technology.
Understanding the importance of this matter, besides researching in the lab, ICHITA also dedicates our resources to pilot testing as we are developing a new project. A wide range of pilot units has been created to demonstrate each unit's process in separation and purification.
Following are our pilot units for developing new processes to serve our customers.
Recently, Iso-Malto oligosaccharide (IMO) which is healthy sugar has gained interest from manufacturers and consumers. Chromatography then becomes the key process to separating caloric components of glucose and fructose to produce pure IMO sweeteners.?ICHITA has partnered with one of the sweetener producers in Thailand to develop the chromatography process. After several condition adjustments, the high-quality IMO product was produced through a pilot unit, which is under scaling to a commercial plant.
