By Malia Brown: This is an excerpt from the upcoming 100-day longevity primer that is called a Jammer. This Jammer is a daily planner, checklist, and journal that will kickstart your healthspan and lifespan.

Everything is created twice. First in thought, then in form. You know this, yet you might not be aware of the power of knowing this. Your life is created from your thoughts. Think about it for a moment. The shirt you are wearing is one example. First, someone had to think of the pattern, the fabric, the style. Then, someone had to take action to create that shirt in that style with that fabric and that pattern, so you could wear it. Thought then form. Everything you see around you originated in someone’s thought, possibly yours. What about the dining room table you wanted to eat your meals at or the chair you are sitting on?

Same process. Everything was a thought before it could be something that someone could touch, wear, use. You will find more power within you by working with your thoughts and becoming more aware of them. Think you are already a guru in noticing your thoughts? Why not lean in even more? One common expression for this is to “Notice What You Are Noticing.” Notice the part of you that can notice your thoughts. This is where mindset comes in. You have the power to notice the thoughts you are thinking and you can notice if those thoughts are going to take you where you intend to go. If you intend to live happy, healthy, longer, stronger, notice which thoughts are in alignment with happy, healthy, longer, stronger. Are there other thoughts that are not in alignment? Why not let those go?

"We are creatures of habit. We think somewhere between 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts in one day, and 90 percent of those thoughts are exactly the same ones we had the day before." - Dr. Joe Dispenza

Today you could choose to notice thoughts of being healthier. Or you could notice thoughts of being stronger. Then notice the congruence of your thoughts with what you desire. Then notice the congruence of your actions with your thoughts. Would you be willing to think more thoughts that are aligned with the thoughts of where you want to go? Would you be willing to stop looking at where you’ve been? Would you be willing to stop worrying if you ever going to get there? Thoughts and your destination are similar to driving or being in a car. In a car, you choose a destination like a store, or work, or dropping off the kids at school. Then when you put the key in the engine you are clear about your destination. Today you might choose to take the fast route, the standard route, or the scenic route. All routes will arrive at your destination. We do the same thing with our thoughts.

We might choose thoughts that will accelerate our arrival at our destination or maybe the thoughts will be a small step within our normal routine, or maybe we’ll just think one new thought today or choose to stop thinking one thought today. Your thoughts will determine the arrival at your destination though, however you choose to get there. If your thoughts are not consistent with the desired destination, think new thoughts.
