PILGRHYM : twelve European partners join forces in a new pre-normative research project on hydrogen infrastructures

On January 25th, NaTran R&I (ex RICE) hosted the kick-off meeting for the #PilgrHYm project, coordinated by GRTgaz , at its Villeneuve la Garenne site. This pre-normative research project, funded by the European Union under the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, aims to develop protocols and guidelines for repurposing existing gas pipelines for hydrogen use. Driven by a robust consortium of project partners and Advisory Board members, the project brings together over twenty key actors from the gas transportation, academic and standardization sectors.

The following day, January 26th, participants had the opportunity to visit GRTgaz's facilities in Alfortville, including FenHYx, a leading R&D test platform dedicated to research on hydrogen materials and equipment.

We would like to thank the project’s partners and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership for their participation.

The teams at RICE are proud to be leading this major project, and, more generally, to be promoting ambitious international R&D collaborations, with over 15 programs currently underway through various European and American funding schemes. We are firmly committed to accelerating the energy transition and preparing the networks and storage facilities of tomorrow for the arrival of H2 and CO2.
