some engine tuning memory’s memory from the past

I was helping out with an Ford engine for pike-pike race, where Andreas Eriksson and Marcus Gr?nholm tried to take the pike in an record time, the race was not successful, manly to short preparation time when the cars was built and shipped to US. The fuel pumps suck air in corners, losing fuel pressure quit often, engine cooling was not enough, so after 2-3 minutes running, the power had to be reduced, still down in the woods, Andreas missed on curve, and went of. Marcus hit an stone on the exhaust pipe, ?almost totally blocking the exhaust. so no wins or records times unfortunately (some year earlier I supported Per Eklund in his pike-peak race, which vent better)

However today when seeking for an receipt, I found on recorder list from the mapping of the engine, this was with the smaller TC that I chose from, giving 840 HP at se level, with the larger units, we passed 1000 hp. This was still to large TC, since the drivability above 2000m altitude was difficult, turbo-lag to painful, so we should have used slightly smaller turbine. if I remember correct power was still above 600 hp at inlet restriction corresponding to 4000m altitude
