Piece in The Times

Piece in The Times

I wrote a piece in The Times asking for business leaders to get out and explain what they're doing for their country and particularly explain the wider benefits beyond employing people and making returns for shareholders.

It is too easy to claim that trade bodies can do it for them, people need to hear from names they can relate too and I single out James Timpson and Richard Walker of Iceland for particular praise.

A great read Jimmy and bang on! I read it in the hard copy of The Times and had to share it on my Twitter feed! How often do you write in The Times?

Good piece Jimmy McLoughlin?- business leaders 'need to take the time to explain to their employees but also the wider country what they are doing to improve the UK'. There are many good examples from SMEs to large corporates of businesses that do just that...how do we encourage more leaders and managers at all levels to take on this role?
