You may have heard about the NBSO and the work we do. But maybe you're not sure on what kind of service we provide? Have a read of this month's 'In the Picture' to find out more. As we recently met with Melvin Siliakus from Synergy Health with questions he had about the UK market.

First of all Melvin, tell us a bit about Synergy and the service you provide.

“Synergy Health Utrecht is an entity of the healthcare division of the Normec group. We are a GMP-accredited Contract Research Organisation (CRO) specialising in both physicochemical and microbiological analysis services for clients worldwide. We provide comprehensive quality control testing for pharmaceutical raw materials, excipients, and finished products in strict compliance with applicable guidelines. In addition to our QC capabilities, we offer an extensive range of services, including analytical method development and validation, as well as stability testing for pharmaceuticals and more.”

What questions made you reach out to the NBSO Manchester?

“We asked the Netherlands Business Support Office in Manchester to assist us in establishing contact with pharmaceutical product developers, contract manufacturing organisations, and compounders based in the United Kingdom."

Last, but not least. How has the NBSO been able to support you with accessing the British pharmaceutical industry?

"They compiled an extensive list of eligible UK companies whose business profiles and products align perfectly with the analytical services we offer. The NBSO utilised resources and databases that we do not normally have ready access to. This made the data highly reliable for furthering our business outreach.”
