Pickup Trucks, Churches and Sunrises

An interesting thought came to me on a recent early morning run. Have you ever driven down a country road at sunrise and noticed that the majority of vehicles are usually pickup trucks? Or, have you ever gone to early Sunday Mass and see that almost everyone there has gray hair?
Now I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence but it seems to me that farmers and the elderly have an extra strong appreciation for getting the most out of every day. They get up early because they know every second counts. If we're lucky to live to be 90 we're only going to see a little more than 32,000 sunrises in our lifetime. That's really not that many if you stop and think.
The good news is simple - you don't have to be a farmer or a religious person to witness the miracle of a sunrise. It's just mind over mattress. And a good pair of running shoes if ask me.
