How Salesforce Flow Is Empowering Agents in the Era of AI
Don’t worry, Flow fans, everyone’s favorite automation tool won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. It may feel like Agentforce is taking over, but it’s important to learn and embrace the ways that it can work with existing tools, including Salesforce Flow.?
Currently, flows are the building blocks used to give agents the ability to take action. Perhaps we’ll see them work even closer together in the future with Agentforce suggesting actions to perform. A partnership with the ability to create logic-triggered flows.?
Agentforce and Flow really could be a dream team – working harmoniously to streamline business processes. However, great caution (and thorough documentation) will be required for these two powerhouses to function effectively.?
Salesforce Stock Shoots Up 10% After Impressive Q3 Earnings
The as yet unknown “Agentforce” was referenced 39 times during Salesforce’s Q2 earnings call – a hint of the mania to come over the following months. So how many times do you think it cropped up during this week’s Q3 earnings call? A grand total of 80 times, which feels about right considering the almighty promo plan we’ve seen rolled out since Dreamforce.?
What else was discussed? Well, in revenue terms, Salesforce grew 8% year over year during the third quarter, and fiscal fourth quarter sales were expected to be between $9.9B and $10.10B – within analysts’ projections of $10.05B. The company’s net income was $1.5B – a 25% increase from last year’s $1.2B.
This is very good news for Salesforce; having missed the mark earlier this year (stock plunged 16% following Q1’s earnings report), it looks like the pivot to agentic AI has truly paid off.?
Agentforce Is Now Available on Salesforce Help: But Is It Actually Helpful?
Agentforce has arrived on Salesforce Help – hailed by Marc Benioff as the “future of customer support”. So what did we find? Well, it’s a bit of a mixed bag…
On the not-so-great side of things, response time could be quicker, and it’s also worth knowing that conversations will disappear when you log out. Plus, no surprises here, the agent performs better with very clear and detailed instructions. Best not to leave anything to guesswork – otherwise, newcomers may end up feeling a little adrift. Ultimately, it’s going to be useful for experienced professionals who can effectively evaluate its recommendations.?
On the flipside, there are some standout performances to applaud, specifically when crafting validation rules and suggesting Flow types, both of which boasted some pretty impressive results (providing you know how to ask the right questions).?
There’s certainly plenty of promise, but for now at least, it’s still worth keeping in mind those tried-and-tested resources such as the Salesforce Answers community. Nothing compares with real-world expertise and experience, especially when it comes to those unique gotcha moments that AI simply cannot grasp – not yet anyway!?
