Pickleball In The Media

As the immensely popular sport of pickleball continues to grow it is now finding its place in media.

Two competition based reality programs are currently in the works set to air this fall. “Pickleballers” will take a look inside an amateur pickleball tournament with a $100,000 prize and a minor league pickleball contract on the line. “Pickleball Paddle Battle” will follow a similar format and feature a male and female winner.

Michael Phelps, Leonardo DiCaprio and Will Ferrell are all said to be avid fans of the sport as well. Actor Jamie Foxx recently launched his own brand of pickleball paddles.

Last year on CBS Stephen Colbert hosted a celebrity pickleball tounament called Pickled benefiting Comic Relief .
