Pickleball Marketing News: Rain Go Away, It's Time for Pickleball in the Sun!

Happy Friday! Fun fact, I block off my calendar every morning from 8-10am to get out to our local courts to play pickleball. Why I love this sport is that it's a great way to start your morning, get healthy exercise, socialize with friends while enjoying some Pickleball in the Sun, and kick off my day in a good mood before hitting the computer.

Well, this week has brought a lot of rain to Florida, so the shift in my schedule definitely affected my mood and my productivity level as I sadly gazed out the rainy window.

It's back to the pickleball courts this morning and some incredible opportunities over the next 10 days for Pickleball in the Sun !

Omni Amelia Island Spring Challenge - April 15

This past month we featured the Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa as our first Premier Pickleball in the Sun Destination powered by PicklePlay ! This Saturday, the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center is hosting the Omni Amelia Island Spring Challenge and I'm excited to be playing in both women's doubles and mixed doubles for a perfect Saturday for some Pickleball in the Sun!

Minto US OPEN Pickleball Championships powered by Margaritaville - April 15 - 22 in Naples

It's one of the most prestigious pickleball tournaments of the year! This weekend will kick off the Minto US OPEN Pickleball Championships powered by Margaritaville as more than 3,000 players will travel to Naples, Florida to participate in the evens April 15 - 23.

Tampa Bay Rays Host Pickleball Day on Sunday, April 23

While in St. Pete, we'll be attending the Tampa Bay Rays game on Sunday, April 23rd as they host "Pickleball Day!" All they had to do was mention "Pickleball Day" and very quickly they sold out of tickets for this game as each attendee receives a custom Engage Pickleball paddle and experience a day of Pickleball in the Sun cheering on the Rays as they take on the Chicago White Sox .

All eyes are on the Rays right now as they tie a Major League Baseball (MLB) record after starting the season 13-0! So follow @PickleballintheSun as we bring you live action from next Sunday's game! Watch for me at the game as I'll be providing all Pickleball Day ticket holders with Visit St. Pete Clearwater sunglasses.

NBC News - Pickleball is America's Fastest Growing Sport

The Pickleball market is projected to be worth $246 million by 2028. NBC News highlights the sport and interviews CityPickle founders, Erica Desai and Mary Cannon as they opened the first club in NYC with more to come.
