The United States’ geopolitical strategy will certainly change entering the next year and next administration. But, what will not change, is the imperative to decide how to move forward in strategizing about AI. Should the U.S. share its technology freely with allies and partners, restrict its proliferation, leverage it to make geostrategic gains on the world stage, or do a little of everything? All of this will need to be weighed alongside perennial national security and economic constraints.?
Sam Winter-Levy lays out the three paths to take for defining the United States’ AI strategy in a recent paper.
