PIARC World road congress 2023, Italy - Tunnel safety and resilience, round table discussion

During the World road congress 2023 in Prague, I had the pleasure to participate in the "PIARC Italy - Tunnel safety and resilience, round table discussion". The session was opened by PIARC President Mr. Alli NAZIR. I had the pleasure to give an outlook on the upcoming activities of the Working Group 1 of the Technical Committee 4.4 Tunnels. I am pleased to take over the chairmanship from my dear colleague Arthur Tshibela KABUYA from next year. The report "Sustainability of tunnel operation: new approaches" will deal with possibilities of energy savings and sustainable production of electricity for tunnel operation.
