A really good day working on "The Piano Man" a solid nine hours, and very happy with the progress.
This felt like a great place to call it a day and give you another teaser!
"Once Pat hung up the telephone he found himself, feeling very excited, especially as he went through several times in his mind their conversation. He even scolded himself at one point that he needed to slow down, let it run its course, and not to be in any hurry. Remember you have been very badly burnt by love once already, let’s just check the temperature of the water before we dive in, he told himself. That all said he liked what he felt and heard.
It was about forty minutes later that Pats front doorbell rang. When he opened the door a pizza deliveryman was stood there. He handed Pat the carton wished Pat a good evening turned and walked away. Pat was a little confused and stuck for words until he looked at a note that was on the lid of the box, all it said was “EAT. See you Friday Hugs & X’s Mary!”
Pat could not help it. He read the short note from Mary several times, managed only to eat one slice of the pizza prior to calling it a day and making his way to bed. Did he sleep well that night? Not really his mind was so very over active, but was he happy? So very happy, and the biggest smile on his face that lasted through the whole night."
