Physio Matters podcast live for 24hrs to celebrate Episode 100 and raise funds for Freehab!
This weekend, the Physio Matters team, led by Jack Chew, celebrated their 100th and final podcast episode with a 24-hour live spectacular. With industry heavyweight guests, high-value prizes, cruel forfeit challenges and copious amounts of coffee and beer, it truly was the perfect way to wrap it all up.?
After nearly 10 years and 3.2 million downloads, it’s safe to say that the team's contribution to the musculoskeletal industry has been outstanding, forming the cornerstone of continuing education for thousands of clinicians, having the difficult conversations that nobody else was willing to have in public, and by creating an online community of like-minded individuals willing to share ideas and drive up standards.?
On this occasion, Physio Matters had one more industry-changing contribution to make,? pledging their support to Freehab with the Episode 100 fundraiser. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the MSK clinician community, the team raised a truly staggering amount of over £2,000. And at the time of writing the amount was still rising.

Freehab is very young as an organisation, from a financial perspective, our goal so far has been to survive. Now, off the back of this incredible event, we can thrive. Not only will we be operating from a solid financial foundation, but we will also have the additional resources to produce signposting materials and conduct outreach work to reach the communities that need our help the most.?
If ever proof were needed, this weekend has shown that Freehab is an organisation that is run by a community, for the community. There will never be enough words to express the gratitude that we have for the Physio Matters team and every single person who donated. Please know that every penny will enable our mission and empower those who are not able to invest in their health.?
In the famous words of Gerry & The Pacemakers, and sang by Jack Chew for one of his many challenges, “Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone.”. Thank you to Physio Matters and to everyone who donated their hard-earned money, for not letting Freehab walk alone.?
