Physical Activity Can't Be Optional

Physical Activity Can't Be Optional

I know, I know, you already know this, but I'm going to tell you again because repetition puts things in long-term memory. So, here goes...our bodies were designed for movement!?

You know where I'm going with this.

Sometimes I refrain from using the "E" word because folks act like I'm swearing at them, but in 2023 we have to get active! Period!

So, why are we not doing it? Is it because we don't feel like it? It hurts? It's not convenient? We don't have the time? Why?

I heard someone recently say that January 17 was "ditch your resolution day." Wow, who knew there was such a thing?

And while many made resolutions around the "E" word this year which may not still be in effect, there's no time like the present to reset!

Studies?have shown that physical activity can reduce your risk of major illnesses, such as heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and cancer as well as lower your risk of early death by up to 30%.?

But clearly, this hasn't been enough reason to get us moving.?

Startling Statistics

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC)?reports?that less than 25% of adults over age 18 get the recommended amount of physical activity. That's 3 out of 4 adults who primarily live sedentary lives if

we round up.

People tell me all the time, the things they are suffering from. The list below will show you how to improve these ailments with the "E" word.

Some of them I'm sure you know, others may surprise you. If you've experienced any ailments related to the list, it's time to start moving and improve your overall health!

15 additional reasons why you MUST get active today:

  1. Assists in weight loss, toning and strengthening your body
  2. Lifts your mood
  3. Improves joint function
  4. Increases stamina
  5. Strengthens your bones
  6. Relieves stress

  10. Improves oxygen supply to the cells
  11. Improves mental health
  12. Increases chances of longevity
  13. Builds self-esteem
  14. Improves posture
  15. Fights dementia

While I'm rooting for you and your team and your organization, all the information in the world won't help until we start to execute on what we know!?

We can be the change agents! We can begin to lower these statistics! However, it's going to take both action and activity. So, start today! And if you want to know if our programs can assist,?let's chat!
